What a lot there is to do on – and around – the spectacular family park of Villaggio Camping delle Rose in the Emilia Romagna region: you could settle yourself down here for activities and leisure pursuits to keep you occupied on site for weeks… or just saunter along to the beach a mere 500 metres away for sandy times and watery dips daily. The site is six kilometres from the pretty old port town of Cesenatico, in the province of Province of Forlì-Cesena and about 40 minutes' drive from Ravenna. For days not basking, bathing or urban sightseeing, take yourself and the kids along to the big pool and paddling pool with waterslides for a day in the water, to the sports ground or pétanque court for family competitions, or just to laze by your spacious pitch under the shade of tall trees. As it's Italy, food is properly prioritised here too: the site has a restaurant-pizzeria where you can contentedly work your way through the full menu, and a shop that's well stocked with essentials for DIY dinners. A off-licence opens throughout high season to keep grownups nicely watered. A regular – and free – shuttle bus operates from reception to the beach and back in high season.

The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/06 and 15/09 (subject to weather conditions).
The park only allows dogs up to 10kg.

Il check out era alle 11 ma essendo bassa stagione ci hanno permesso, senza richiederlo, di allungare la nostra permanenza fino a sera

Liked: Small site with everything you need, pitches were close together with some shade, facilities was good, it’s a 10min walk to beach or by the road train outside the campsite there was a lovely breeze which was very welcome as it was very hot in July,
The town was a walk away in the evening came alive and was very enjoyable

Liked: Le personnel est vraiment très aimable. Camping très joli et bien situé pour visiter Gatteo De Mare, Cesenatico, et Rimini.

Disliked: Une attention était faite à certains belges pour la fête nationale, mais nous nous n’étions pas considéré dedans. Dommage car nous sommes tous belges.

Local attractions

History, culture, food and entertainment… Emilia Romagna has the lot. Your closest coastal town is Cesenatico (with a port that was surveyed and drawn by one Leonardo da Vinci): head here for handsome scenery, a marine museum with old fishing boats displayed in the canal, and – perhaps something you wouldn't expect on the Italian coast – a 118-metre skyscraper. Historyheads of a certain (geeky) persuasion may also care to hear that Cesenatico is at the mouth of the Rubicon – see if you feel brave enough to go, see and conquer… Other highlights within easy reach include the famed seaside resort of Rimini (20 minutes' drive), with its 15-kilometre beach and so many sights to see you could wander around for weeks (the Tiberius Bridge, Augustus Arch, city museum and Gambalunghiana Library are top picks, as are lazy and peaceful times in Rimini's many parks). San Marino (45 minutes) is also a must, for its three towers, its cathedral and the aerial tramway to Monte Titano. Theme parks and waterparks are plentiful around here too: try Italia in Miniatura 10 minutes' drive from the site, Acquafan 20 minutes away and Mirabilandia within 25.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
