- Family-friendly site in the Cévennes National Park
- River access 500m away for fishing, swims and kayaking
- Heated outdoor pool with 50m slide, Jacuzzi, bar and snack bar
There's direct access to a river from Camping Les Fauvettes in the Gard department, from a hilly four-hectare estate between two rivers in the Cévennes National Park.
Swimming, canoeing, kayaking and fishing can all be tried at the nearby river, and several hiking, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding trails are around the site. To take in sightseeing or access urban amenities (shops, restaurants and the like), Anduze is a 20-minute walk away and Alès a 20-minute drive.
Tennis and archery are among the leisure options for Les Fauvettes guests, along with a fine heated pool (open in high season) with 50-metre waterslide, paddling pool and Jacuzzi. For kids, there's a playground, a bouncy castle, a games room and a summer activities club. Evening entertainment for all ages is held at the bar in high season.
Les Fauvettes also has a snack bar serving ice cream and drinks, a takeaway, a supermarket and gas barbecues and fridges for hire. Free wifi is available around reception and at the pool and the snack bar.
The five well-maintained amenities blocks are all accessible with toilets and hot showers.

Local attractions
Excellent Anduze, a couple of kilometres away, is a medieval village at the foot of the Cevennes range with a good range of old buildings to see like its 14th-century clock tower and 17th-century castle. Its 15th-century marketplace is still the site for Anduze markets in these modern times: markets are on Thursdays if you want to go along with your basket to stock up.
From Anduze, take the Cévennes Steam Train to Saint-Jean-du-Gard, the riverside town in the Cévennes where Robert Louis Stevenson finished up on his journey for his book Travels with a Donkey in the Cévennes. The train stops off at the Bambouseraie de Prafrance botanical and bamboo gardens on its way to and from Saint-Jean.
The medieval village of Vézénobres is worth the 21-kilometre trip for a peaceful day around its old buildings, set on a hill surrounded by vineyards. The Roman amphitheatre, temple and swaths of parks and gardens of Nîmes can be reached in 48 kilometres.
Les Fauvettes is 14 kilometres from Luna Park Anduze.
