For wildlife spotting and canoeing, you'll need to look slightly further afield to Sundance Provincial Park (50 minutes). The particularly spectacular vistas of Jasper National Park can be reached within roughly an hour and a quarter too, while there's more boating and overland adventuring on offer at William A. Switzer Provincial Park (an hour and 20).
