Looking for lots of peace and quiet on the truly gorgeous Llŷn Peninsula? You’ll have that by the bucket-full when you lay your head at Frondeg Certificated Location, an adults-only, Caravan and Motorhome Club-members-only site just outside the hamlet of Sarn Meyllteyrn. This tiny spot is set on a smallholding 10 minutes’ drive from the sandy swathe at Traeth Porthor beach and the pretty fishing village of Aberdaron. The site has a small number of fully serviced grass pitches, spaced well away from each other for privacy; each one has an electric hook-up, fresh water and grey drainage amenities. Open fires are not allowed, but you can spark up barbecues as long as they are raised off the ground to reduce fire risk and damage to the grass. Up to two dogs are welcome to join you on your stay; they’ll be very happy with the dedicated dog-exercise area, where they can have an off-lead run around. Elsewhere on the site, your canine chums must be kept on the leash as there is livestock on the smallholding. Frondeg is a great base for exploring the pretty countryside and coastline of Llŷn National Landscape, with its challenging (and some family-friendly and not quite so challenging) walking and cycling routes, plethora of beaches and friendly pubs.

Liked: What an amazing site has huge serviced pitches toilets and showers are very clean and good quality the cleaning area has lots of local information there is an area to let the dogs run free and the views are outstanding ,the owners came over to make sure there was no problems and gave us information about the local area

Liked: Very quiet, beautiful views, very friendly owners, surprisingly good (free) WiFi. Immaculately clean toilets & showers. Good washing up area and ability to buy fresh eggs from the owner. Adult only which is a bonus. Near to all the local spots

Disliked: Quite basic CL site for the price (£25 per night) although they did have an offer of 3 nights for price of 2, making it a much more reasonable £17 per night. Shower/toilet block unheated which is ok when the weathers good

Recommend to friends Visit again
