Five spacious pitches

  • Small adults-only campsite in the village of Llanystumdwy, North Wales
  • A 15-minute drive to Snowdonia National Park; 25 minutes to Caernarfon
  • Well-maintained grass pitches and shower block; communal dining area
Family-run The Paddocks Caravan and Camping is a small and ultra-organised site with well-maintained, flat and spacious pitches in north Wales. It’s less than five minutes’ drive to the beach at Criccieth, and around half an hour to the imposing castles at Harlech and Caernarfon, making this a cracking adults-only base from which to explore the Llŷn Peninsula. It's a 10-minute trip by car to the wide, south-facing sands at Pwllheli, a former haunt of smugglers and pirates. You'll find it quite a bit calmer these days, especially if you follow the fab Llŷn Peninsula Coastal Path round the peninsula for views and wildlife and splendid sea air. Sandcastles, paddling and rockpool exploration are all there for the taking. If you’d rather ditch the car, a bus stop is five minutes’ walk away, or you can explore on two legs – perhaps a good place to start is the local village of Llanystumdwy (five minutes’ walk), as it’s the burial place of former Prime Minister David Lloyd George. You can see his grave and visit a small museum, and afterwards stroll down the banks of the scenic River Dwyfor or pop into the pub for a pint. Gleaming facilities on site include a well-lit shower block with two private bathrooms (each containing a large shower, wash-hand basin and toilet), plus a separate adjacent shower with a dressing room and a hair dryer. Nearby is a covered communal area with a table and seating, plus two washing-up sinks, a fridge-freezer, a separate drinks fridge, a microwave, toaster and a kettle. There's also a phone-charging point. Firepits and barbecues are allowed, but they must be raised off the ground and set up on one of the concrete slabs provided. Small chimineas and barbecues are available for nightly hire on site, and you can buy logs and charcoal here too. Please note that parties are not permitted – this is a quiet site.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Leigh and his wife was so good making sure everything was ok on your arrival and showed you to your pitch
One of the first things after setting up the tent they told us the wifi code s which never drops out
Each day Leigh would come round check that everything was ok and have a general chat
Could not ask for better hosts
As for the camping area it is well looked after and as for the toilet and showers you could not ask for better extremely clean and tidy only wish I could have taken them home with me lol
Also where you wash your pots it’s extra clean and there’s a fridge freezer that’s dispensers ice there’s a kettle and even toaster and free range eggs
You can get charcoal and wood from the owners with a little cost and stoves
Over all will highly recommend and really appreciate the paddocks campsite
We will return thanks again big mark

Powered grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Nice set up with spacious level pitches we had one that was close to electric point and had a water tap on the pitch.

Communal wash area included large picnic table, microwave, toaster fridge and Freezer. There were egg and tea and coffee packs available to purchase through the honesty box.

There were 3 large showers and 4 unisex toilets (2 of which were in with the showers) these were very clean.

Wifi on site is free had excellent coverage for the duration of our stay.

The owners were lovely and made you feel welcome and very helpful with advise on local area.

I would definitely stay again.
