What customers say
Guests love the scenic, tranquil setting and amazing vistas, perfect for unwinding or adventuring. Pods are comfy, cozy, and spotless, with nice touches like wood burners. Host Robin gets top marks for hospitality and helpful tips, like letting kids feed the farm animals. While the narrow road and compost toilets are worth noting, it's a highly recommended, private, and well-equipped spot.

Ty Seren camping pod
Liked Everything! Just the best experience. Pods were comfortable, clean and had all we needed. The site was beautiful with lots to do nearby and great pub within walking distance. Out of a holiday that included mountain climbing, the beach, and the zoo, our children's said their favorite part was 'Robin and the chickens'. Robin was fantastic and my eldest (8 years), who is neurodiverse, took to him faster than she has with anyone outside of the family. He was very patient with her, which meant she felt brave enough to chat away, ask questions and join in feeding the chickens - which was so wonderful to see. Thank you for the fab holiday!
Disliked The only thing we didn't like was leaving.

Liked We had a wonderful couple of nights here. My first little break just myself and the girls and they had the best time. Robin is so kind and patient with the children, letting them get involved with feeding the animals and sharing his knowledge. The pod had everything we needed and more. The little touches when we arrived were really appreciated, especiallyby the children. We will definitely visit again when it gets cooler, so we can take full advantage of the log burner. Thank you for a great break!

Liked The views for miles. The peacefulness. the chickens were a massive hit with our children. They were so friendly. Last of all the host - Robin was absolutely fantastic with us. Couldn’t be more helpful . The kids loved him. He was great with the children feeding the lambs and hens and nothing was a problem. Thank you so much for a lovely weekend.
Disliked We had to go home.

Loved our stay and will return again
Ty Seren camping pod
Liked Pretty much everything about the site, it’s private and secure enough to feel like your children are safe, it’s pretty, lovely views, the chickens, the faculties, although composting toilets are to get used to 😆 Robin is great for keeping you up to date with what is going on nearby the site, he checks in to make sure you’re happy with everything on message, extremely helpful. I even left some items behind and he posted them back to me. We will be back and have recommended the site to friends too. Excellent
Disliked Not really a dislike, but the composting toilets do take a little getting used to. That said, they’re really well designed, thoughtfully maintained, and fit perfectly with the eco-friendly feel of the campsite.

Ty Coed camping pod
Liked Beautiful location, didn't need to bring anything but food and clothes, lots of eco credentials. Robin the owner was brilliant, gave us lots of advice about what to do in the area, left out treats for the kids, let them feed the chickens and the lambs and had thought of everything we could possibly want.

Thanks for the hospitality over the time of our stay, the location was beautiful, peaceful and we could have stayed for even longer.
The pod was fantastic, very comfortable and cosy on a night with the burner on which we managed to light after reading your hints and tips.
The local pub was a great suggestion lovely food and great atmosphere.
Thanks for letting us feed the sheep on a morning it was a very kind gesture and I think we will miss Steve the most who spent last night sitting with us up the pod and then again for breakfast.
Look forward to returning next year and enjoying the peace and quiet

From the manager: Hi Hayley, thanks for your lovely review. We enjoyed meeting you all and chatting. The eggs and view really are fab aren't they?!
Family type holiday, small site, very helpfull owner, great location.
Ty Seren camping pod
Liked We have stayed at one of two pods on site, and it was great. The site is rather small, meaning that there are only two camping pods and one bell tent, but owner, Robin, have designed llocations in really secluded manner, so you can still have your privacy. The views surrounding the site are just amazing. Pods are clean, same applies to the communal kitchen. There is a little wood burner inside pod, to stay warm even on the cold nights. Plus there is a place for bbq, fire pit. and an outside shower. Pod it self is spacious, with 2 little tables, and 4 chairs for inside or outside sitting.( please see photos attached). There is little chickens farm on the site where children so fond to play and checking their eggs:)
Robin is a really great host, very welcoming and pleasant to have chat. He helped us a lot during our stay and was very helpfull - gave us tips on where and what to do, price list for local attractions etc. We felt very welcome and I am looking forward to bring my family back here.
Location is great as well, as there are many different attractions surrounding the place, both indoors and outdoors. I would say this is a great holiday destination for both holidaymakers - the ones that want to just stay and chill by the fire, or the explorer type.
Thank you Robin, and me and family look forward to come back again.
Disliked Nothing really, but have to mention road up there is single lane, and some drivers might find it difficult. There are no regular electric plugs, only USB type of chargers inside pod. But I suppose you really want to get rid of your phone in such a secluded and peacefull place.
PS. FYI toilet inside pod is a compost type of, meaning there is no water flush, its just a bag for you to do your 'business'. I didn't find that a problem, but maybe for some people a bit unusual/uncomfortable, so I thought of giving a heads up.

From the manager: Hi Vitalijs,
Many thanks for your detailed review, I'm sure other guests will find it really helpful.
We really enjoyed meeting the three of you and helping you to have a lovely time here. I enjoyed our chats.
We've worked really hard to make the glamping site blend in with the landscape. And to make it as environmentally sustainable as we can. Part of that committment is our compost toilets...we think they're great! They are easy to use, clean and empty for every guest arrival, and at the end of the stay they are emptied onto our special compost heap and in a couple of years they are feeding the garden with rich compost! Brilliant!
We look forward to welcoming you all again.
Absolutely beautiful, relax refresh and enjoy!!

From the manager: Thanks for such a great recommendation Jayne - really enjoyed meeting and chatting with you. It's a perfect place for a spot of peace and quiet and we were so glad you could do a bit of a "recharge" here before getting back into the busy stuff of life. Also glad that you enjoyed the steaks from Swans Farm Shop - his meat his excellent (as well as his pies and cakes and sweets/treats!)
Look forward to seeing you again, if you want to make us your regular "retreat"!
We don't do wifi in the pods/tipi - but generally mobile network coverage is good at 4G (EE and Vodafone are the ones we have, not sure about others but no one has mentioned it before). If guests really have trouble with mobile signal and need to send/receive something important, we can always give them access to our own wifi on the farmyard.

Liked We stayed in Ty Coed & had a really wonderful time! Robin was super helpful with everything we needed and more than happy to help with anything and everything. Was very clean when we arrived, had everything we needed and even had some extra bits on the side! Our son loved being able to feed the chickens and go on the secret path back to the car! We were originally a little skeptical on the composting toilet, however it wasn't actually too bad! Would definitely stay again and would 100% recommend!

From the manager: Thanks for that lovely review - we enjoyed hosting you all.
Thanks for the 100% recmmendation too - that makes us very happy.
We love the composting loos, but were also sceptical til we built them. They are clean, water-free and sustainable. Our whole ethos is to create a low-impact holiday for our guests and the compost loos and grey-water reed bed are an important part of that, along with all our solar power.
Would love to see you back - the chickens have grown!
