Primitive grass campsite
Liked Friendly staff, lovely location with a gorgeous overlook of the countryside (a bit hard to get to in the campervan). Nice walks, great one if you're looking for that big sense of community.
Disliked Very big site for single tent camping and it was very busy, facilities are a bit bare bones but you get what you pay for

Would be great at low season
Primitive grass campsite
Liked No road noise, large grass fields in which to pitch, how showers.
Disliked The site was a lot busier than I expected. The plumbed toilets appeared to be for DoE students only - chemical toilets provided for everyone else. Only 2 showers for the whole site so there was always a queue (you need 50p coin which is clearly stated). The road up to the site was very narrow and a few lads seemed to drive to and from the site multiple times at high speed - I almost had collisions in a few bends because they were in the middle of the road, just a good job I was going very slowly.

Good site with great views, has everything you need. Great atmosphere
Primitive grass campsite
Liked We loved the views! Lots of space to cook. We are light campers and perhaps easily pleased so I guess you could say maybe some of the facilities were modest but it has everything you need. Definitely our sort of place and the atmosphere was really nice. We booked the day before and there was plenty of availability so we love that places like this exist for us hikers who rely on weather windows.
Disliked Not anything that can be held against the site itself, the stunning views do come at the expense of slightly sloping pitches but the owner/manager seems to know exactly where to put people based on their set up so we have no complaints.
Porter loos were as you would expect for an August bank holiday weekend so take that as you will.

Liked The big open spaces and beautiful views. Lovely friendly owner.
Disliked Showers need to be updated asap. One was broken and the other didn’t work for me and a few other visitors on the last day of a busy bank holiday

a really lovely hidden gem, tucked away just minutes from Pen Y Fan
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Simple and beautiful. Gentleman at reception showed us our pitch and the facilities and left us to enjoy our evening. stunning sunset over the hills. Perfect for my mum and I to have a little camp before a long walk in Bannau Brycheiniog.

Served the purpose but unlikely to come back
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Stary night, no polluting lights and the view
Disliked The portloo, the smell started to trail, about 10 toilets and 2 showers for 200 people or more... not enough

Great back-to-basics camping with stunning scenery
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Great back-to-basics camping with stunning scenery, dark skies, and helpful staff. Great value for an overnight stop.
Disliked Showers & toilets are a bit of a walk from the camping area, only one male shower for the whole site (not sure about female).
