What customers say
Immaculately clean, well-kept site praised for friendly staff, peaceful vibe, and great facilities like a games room & spacious pitches. Dog field with river access is a hit. Convenient to Dumfries. Some suggest more washrooms during peak times; shower placement in games room noted as a bit odd. Highly recommended for quality & value.

From the manager: Adele thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review and photos.
We really appreciate your comments saying that Newbridge Country Park is very clean & well kept.
It's nice to hear you say the extra long hosepipe was very handy. We try to make things a lot easier for our guests with little touches like the extra long hosepipes.
Adele with regard to us being remote and needing a car to go to the shops, there is a shop 10 minutes walk away inside the petrol station selling all your basic essentials, or a 5 minutes drive away you have 2 retail parks, with a large Tesco supermarket and Aldi.
Instead of having to go out in a vehicle there is a bus stop directly outside the site that runs regular, that goes directly into Dumfries, but also stops by the shops.
Most of our guests in motorhomes stop at the shops here before setting up on site.
Newbridge Country Park is very lucky that we are only 10 minutes drive from the historic town of Dumfries, 5 minutes drive from the big stores, 10 minutes walk from a garage selling all your essentials which is also next door to a lovely café that serves delicious breakfasts, lunches and cakes, BUT we also have the beautiful countryside that surrounds us.
Adele we are pleased to see you say that you would stay again and also recommend us to friends.
Thank you again for your review Adele. We hope you will stay with us again soon.
Good site

Liked Well laid out site & very well kept. All lovely & new. Nice views over the fields. Close to Dumfries. Very helpful manager.
Disliked Some background road noise as it's off the main A76 albeit the touring site is at the rear of the Caravan Park.

From the manager: Thank you for leaving us a review.
We are so pleased to hear you said we had a well laid our site & that it's very well kept, with it being lovely & new.
It's also nice to hear that you enjoyed the nice views over the fields.
You said we are close to Dumfries, We are very lucky to be in the countryside but also close to the historic town of Dumfries and close to the local amenities.
With regard to the road noise, it's very rare that the guests hear the road noise, as most of our guests comment how peaceful the site is. There is also another field (with 13 holiday lodges on it at the moment, with room for 15 more holiday lodges, so a large field}, between the touring site and the road. But if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction you do hear a little road noise unfortunately, but that is not very often.
We have young conifer trees growing by the road side and more holiday lodges being bought daily, so this will dampen the noise when the wind blows in the wrong direction.
But like we said the majority of our guests tell us how peaceful the site is and they book to come back.
We read every review, so thank you for your review.
Excellent site with clean facilities, friendly staff and level pitches

Liked Clean quite very well organised.
Phil was very friendly mentioned as the site was not that busy there was no need to stick to the 11 am checkout time. That was very thoughtful and reflected the general friendliness of the site.
Disliked Nothing to dislike

It's so lovely to hear you say we have an excellent site with clean facilities, friendly staff & level pitches, quiet and very well organised.
The team work hard to keep the site looking good for all our guests and it means a lot to the team when that gets recognised.
Phil and the team are very friendly and will always try to help in anyway we can to make your stay more enjoyable.
Mark thank you for saying that there was nothing to dislike. That is so good to hear.
We hope you will come and stay again soon.

From the manager: Bryan thank you so much for your review, we really appreciate it.
It's great to hear you were so pleased with our dog walking field. We have had many amazing comments about our dog walking field from guests, saying like you, how big and secure it is, and the best they have seen on a campsite with a mowed path all the way round.
Yes we are very lucky and it's wonderful for our guests that they don't have to go off site to walk their dogs safely. We also have the added bonus of the field running alongside a beautiful river that can be enjoyed by all our guests, dogs or no dogs with a couple of benches to sit and admire the views.
Thank you again Bryan for your review. We hope you will come and stay with us again soon.

From the manager: We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review.
It's so nice to hear you say 'Overall a delightful site, spacious. Would recommend'.
Thank you also for saying our site is clean, well organised and our team are friendly. It's also good to hear you say we have great showers.
With regard to having a water tap on each pitch, it would be very costly to install, cause disruption with installing them, and then we would have to reflect the cost of that in the site fee. We try to keep our costs down as much as possible, so that we are competitively and fairly priced for our guests.
The water points are very close to the touring site so you don't have far to collect water.
But we do appreciate your feedback. and are pleased to see you would stay again and recommend us to friends.
We hope you will come back and stay soon.

Liked The whole site was so clean and well organised. Has everything you need and more. Peaceful with a great location for nipping into Dumfries great for dogs too with a little river walk off the site.
Disliked Can't call this a dislike but an extra toilet and shower maybe block wouldn't go a miss. But honestly didn't dampen our stay!! Thought hard for a dislike.
