What customers say
This basic campsite boasts spacious pitches in a lovely, quiet rural setting with stunning views. Facilities are simple: clean portaloos & water taps, adequate for most short stays, matching the reasonable price. Praised for its peaceful vibe, nearby country pubs, and great dog walking. Despite sloping fields & no showers, most reviews are positive, with many planning return trips.

Liked The view was incredible. The site was very clean with lots of space. Huge amount of stars in the night sky.
Fantastic pub a very short walk away -The Swan - serving very good food and drink.
Disliked The toilets which were porta loos. They were very smelly.
Would be better if they had composting toilets and an waste disposal point for those wishing to use their own facilities.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind review and comments. Obviously we take on board the fact that some people don’t like Portaloos, but we are also aware that to offer more facilities would mean putting our prices up, and that is not in line with our ethos of keeping prices as low as we can. We also do specify that we have Portaloos in our description. Hope that you enjoyed your stay despite this.

Liked Only stayed one night, didn't even see the owners but a lovely site. The views are amazing and it was lovely and peaceful. Lots of horses right next the the pitch which was a huge bonus for our daughter. Facilities very basic but clean. Amazing woodland walks nearby. Will definitely return sometime.
Disliked Toilets, OK but never that keen on portaloos.
