  • Well-equipped dog-friendly site on a farm in rural Mid Devon
  • A 40-minute drive to Exmoor National Park and Dartmoor National Park
  • Two swimming pools, bar, restaurant and games room on site
If the green fields, wildflowers and calm lakes don’t catch your attention, the two swimming pools surely will. That’s right – as well having acres and acres of open green space, Yeatheridge Farm Caravan Park is full to the brim with creature comforts including swimming pools and a fully licensed bar and restaurant. Take your other half away for a quiet weekend or pack up the family for an active week away – these firm, level and gently sloping pitches are set in an excellent part of rural Mid Devon. They are just 40 minutes’ drive away from two national parks (Dartmoor and Exmoor), and around an hour from both the north and south coasts should you feel like beach days and coast walks. For days when you'd rather not roam far, there are two and a half miles of marked woodland and riverside walks along the river Dulch, which borders part of the farm. You might also want to factor in a visit to the site's play area, the games room (with table tennis) or the outdoor games field. The farm can also arrange horse riding for those who want to get in the saddle. Snacks, gas, camping gear and other essentials are available from the site's well-stocked shop. The shop also stocks fishing tackle and runs a few services such as ice pack freezing, a payphone and battery charging. If it’s laundry day, head to the on-site launderette, which has washers, dryers and ironing kit. Dogs are very welcome at Yeatheridge Farm Caravan Park, but they need to be kept on leads at all times and only exercised in the dog exercise area (or off the farm).

Power optional grass and earth campsite

Liked: Everything was lovely & clean staff were really friendly & welcoming pool was lovely & warm kids went in every day. Little shop had lots to choose from & well stocked. Food was lovely lots of seating areas inside & out. Dogs were welcome too which was lovely. Will definitely come back again thank you for a lovely stay. Quite rural area would have to drive about 45mins/hour to nearest beach but didn't bother us. Also the WiFi was great everywhere on site even on our pitch! which was great for stroppy teenagers

Disliked: Not a dislike but a few more dog waste bins around the site would be better

Power optional grass and earth campsite

Liked: Great site stayed with my husband and 2 young kids and my sister and her older kids as well as our dad so a good age range,
we all had a fantastic time food was good and electric wasn't badly priced either great for electric usage in our motorhome cost under £10 for 5 nights bargain,
swimming pools was lovely and warm floaties are allowed, shower and toilet blocks lovely and clean as well as the whole site spotless everywhere, park could do with some swings maybe as only a slide and seasaw/ sand pit but our young kids still enjoyed it
Staff friendly and helpful
shop is well stocked and not to badly priced the cheese "cheddar and pickle onion" is amazing as is the "cheddar garlic and herb"
We loved how dark and quiet it was at night the clear sky to see the billions of stars amazing
we will definitely be back for another family trip looking forward to coming back next year

Local attractions

Set on high ground between Crediton, South Molton and Tiverton (all 25 minutes’ drive), Yeatheridge Farm Caravan Park is in a very rural part of Devon, with access to miles of paths for peaceful rambles. Should you fancy a longer hike, head to Dartmoor National Park (40 minutes) for trails through valleys and medieval farmland. Exmoor National Park (40 minutes) has plenty more trails where you can stretch the legs, mostly across hilly moorland. All of those endeavours surely deserve a coffee and some fresh local produce in a cosy spot in historic South Molton (25 minutes) or perhaps a trip to an old pub in a cute local village. Exeter (45 minutes) has plenty for you to explore, whether it’s the city walls, Gothic cathedral or Norman castle. Underneath the city there are medieval passages – and they’re not out of bounds either, as you can sign up for underground tours.
