Set in the peaceful grounds of a historic country pub, The Merry Camper offers a relaxed and friendly base just outside Epping, Essex. With easy access to local footpaths, woodlands, and public transport, it's a convenient countryside getaway with great food and a welcoming atmosphere right next door.
This is a pop-up site ideal for tents, caravans and campervans. There’s access to basic facilities including drinking water and toilets, as well as free parking. You’ll also be just steps from the pub’s beer garden and children’s play area.
Public footpaths lead straight from the site to Epping Forest, the Essex Way and into Epping town centre. Epping Underground Station (on the Central Line) is less than a mile away, offering easy connections into London in under 30 minutes.
Perfect for families, walkers, and weekenders looking to enjoy a laid-back pitch-up experience with food, drink, and good company just a stone’s throw away.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.- No cars/motorcycles at the site. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
- At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
- A cable measuring at least 15 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
- Guests are advised to bring a good quality flashlight with them as parts of the park are unlit.
- The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted on site.
