Liked: The site was super basic as described but it was perfect for us for a quick over night stay!
The owners were absolutely lovely and checked on us twice …. Nothing seemed too big & they were all more than happy to help.
Beautiful surroundings ….. thanks for a wonderful stay!
Disliked: Nothing actually and I’ve never stayed anywhere with no shower or electric but it was lovely

Liked: Really nice site, quiet and well marked out for pitches. Loved that there was already a fire pit allocated to each pitch. Also great that cars had to stay separate so it was safe for kids to play. Portaloo was very clean. Flat pitches so no issues with rocks around the tent etc. Owner was really helpful at keeping me updated on the weather before we arrived as there was a storm risk the morning of travel. Will definitely be back.

Liked: Although the weather was atrocious the last full day and night with the wind and rain, the campsite and our short stay was fantastic.
We were free to choose a pitch of our choice. Once settled the children were safe to run around and play with the other children on site. The stream was lovely and the children loved the tarzy and having a small paddle. Other campers were friendly and respectful.
The owners came everyday to check everyone was fine and if we needed anything.
Overall a fabulous stay and will be back next year, but will check the weather first as the wind was horrendous!

Liked: We absolutely loved the site, the facilities were minimal as described but perfect for a back-to-basics camping trip! The toilets were fully stocked and clean at all times and there was fresh drinking water available with recycling facilities and handy information displayed about the local area and useful contact numbers. Everything you needed was very close by with plenty of options for food and drink nearby too in the local village down the road if you don't want to venture too far out. There is also a beautiful river running through the site which you could take a dip in or just walk along and enjoy the view.
The family who own the site were all lovely and super helpful, they paid multiple visits to the site during out 2 night stay checking on the guests and greeting us all and also offering the option of buying firewood!
We loved that the site had pitches already lined out which meant we weren't overlooked and everybody was nicely spaced out!
There were many beautiful locations very close by with lots to see and enjoy!
Overall we absolutely loved our stay and will absolutely be booking again when the site reopens, thanks for having us!
Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: This was my first solo trip & I was very nervous. I emailed the site to see if there was any chance I could get on early, the site owner replied & was really helpful she put me at ease straight away. Someone came to check I was ok & chatted about local places to visit to eat & drink & close walks etc. The site had a lovely stream nearby, it was nice & quiet other tents being nicely spaced out. There was water, one toilet, fire pits & few bits for children like fishing nets. The owner came down later on to check on everyone & if anyone needed anything, she was lovely & told me I was not alone & that she was nearby if I needed her or anything which truly meant a lot, thank you so much. This was a wonderful site for my first solo trip & I can definitely recommend this lovely pop up site.
Disliked: Toilet could have done with some bleach pods or something down there, they were a bit pongy.
