What customers say
Sturdy Bank provides a simple camping experience with great views and a quiet vibe. Praised for clean portaloos, roomy spots, and freedom to pick your own site. Friendly owners and farm animals add charm. Minimal facilities for the price, but the natural setting, pubs, and walks are a big draw. Ideal for a relaxed, no-frills getaway.

Good value and outstanding views of the western and central fells.
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked Lovely views and natural surroundings. Possibility of moving to a different pitch if you wanted to. Near to nice bike rides and walking distance of decent pub and little shop at the garage in Grizebeck.
Disliked No shower, quite crowded and noisy over bank holiday weekend but by Sunday evening was quiet again.
Noisy roadworks nearby could be annoying during the week.
Charging for ebikes would be handy.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked I liked everything about this site - lots of flat areas to camp, fabulous views, clean toilets, great location, and friendly owners. We had 2 nights here and was very chilled site where we could have firepit.
Apparently they are opening showers next season which will improve this site even further. Thanks
