What customers say
Happy Valley Camping gets rave reviews for its rural, quiet atmosphere, lots of space, and level sites, offering great value with fire pits allowed. Guests loved the friendly owners and clean, basic facilities, including washrooms. Some noted water pressure issues that are being sorted. While mostly peaceful, a few heard planes and other campers. More showers would be a plus for some.

Nice site
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked This is a non EHU campsite which offers toilets and a washing up facility . Plus fresh water The grass was quite long but nothing we couldn't cope with .We really enjoyed the fact that we could pitch up where we liked and arrive and leave at any time .The weather was good on Saturday and the views were excellent. Ideal for couples families and dogs.
Plenty to do around the Happy valley campsite area .and local vicinity
Was due to stay 2 nights but came down with a sore throat and aches and pains so travelled back home down south. We left Sunday lunch time
Disliked No distance between vans anyone can pitch up right next to you
Thought there would be hot water but it wasn't a game changer

Primitive grass and earth campervan campsite
Liked I really enjoyed my night at Happy Valley (to attend a music festival in Manchester). The campsite was flat, peaceful, and quiet, and the facilities, whilst basic, were perfectly adequate. The chap who runs the site was very friendly and helpful, with travel (into town) advice etc. Overall, I think that Happy Valley Camping is excellent value for money. I will return, and I'm already recommending it to friends.

Inadequate toilet block. Won't return
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Easy access, freedom to pitch anywhere
Disliked Toilet facilities were inadequate for the number of people camping. Water pressure was only a trickle, both in the taps and in the loos - a recipe for infection! And nothing to dry our hands with either.

From the manager: Hi there, we're having issues with water pressure but should be sorted soon, we didn't expect to be so busy but it was the last bank holiday of the year
Hope you can understand :)

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, facilities dirty.
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Was a nice campsite with some lovely walks near by.
Disliked Toilets were dirty and washing up sink was blocked all the time. Didn't like people being out early hours tripping over the tent string and breaking it every 5 minutes. Did get some very loud people shouting also around 1am. With everyone having camp fires too it made everywhere very smoky through the night, which triggered my son's asthma when he was trying to sleep, so he ended up very restless in the early hours.
