What customers say
A friendly, spacious campsite with a lovely location, great for exploring Settle and walks. Praised for clean facilities, helpful staff, and relaxed vibe. Some found facilities limited when busy, grass long, and occasional noise.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked The location is fantastic and we managed to get a pitch just near the stream which was great.
The guys who own the campsite were very welcoming.
Disliked Lack of toilets and it was still noisy at around 11.30pm from other campers. It was busy though as it was bank holiday. Overflowing bins near to where people are camping.
The next Morning there was no hand soap in the ladies.

Ok as a stop off,
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Nice location, found a nice spot eventually, parked next to the track initially but then moved as loads of lazy folk driving to and from toilet block
Disliked Only 2 men’s showers for the whole campsite, nowhere near enough. We actually wanted showers but didn’t want to que for ages so we went without. All the bins and skips were full and overflowing with rubbish. Loads of people driving to the toilet block, this shouldn’t be allowed, make them walk! Expensive for a basic site

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Location is nice, but camp site is not good at all.
Disliked The facilities are not enough for that big area.2 toilets and 2 showers. I stayed on the camp site on bank holiday, and as expected it was busy. But I am not sure if the facilities are enough even for normal days.

Gem of a site!
Primitive grass campsite
Liked This was a last minute decision to stay here, and it didn’t disappoint, we really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect for walking the hills, and just 5 minutes walk into settle where there’s plenty of shops, pubs, eateries. There’s plenty of biking 🚴 from this site as well Settle Loop, Ribblehead, your right into the Dales so take your pick! Very friendly site.
Disliked When it’s busy could do with extra loo and shower block.

Liked Lovely location. Fantastic views. Owners really friendly and helpful.
Disliked Was extremely busy which was expected for bank holiday weekend but our neighbours pitched extremely close and didn’t come back on night until 1.45am and started cooking food. Extremely loud site until early hours of the morning. Facilities were nice and kept clean but nowhere near enough for the size of the site. There were well over 100 tents and 2 toilets so toilet roll was often empty. Rubbish overflowing. Could be a really lovely site with better facilities and some sorting of noise. Wouldn’t return because of these issues unfortunately. We have kids and absolutely wouldn’t class it as suitable to bring them with us.

Lovely campsite location but facilities insufficient for peak season
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Lovely location, friendly owners, short walk into Settle, fire pits available for hire
Disliked Only 2 showers and toilets (ladies) for hundreds of people so not very clean. Shower was cold. Fire pit was £20 to hire. More investment needed into the facilities

Amazing site. Very well situated. Would definitely stay again.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Friendly and welcoming. Great sized fields and unlimited tent pitch. Amazing views
Disliked I know it was bank holiday weekend and was super busy but only 2 toilets (with a couple of portaloos dotted around) didn't seem enough for so many campers/caravans as quite often had to que 10 mins to use the toilet. Cars driving around the campsite up and down the field until almost midnight. None of these would put me off booking again

Great trip very enjoyable, bloke in charge was very sound
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Great spot
Disliked Toilets could have been cleaner but putting it down to the fact there was a lot of campers!!
