What customers say
This campsite boasts a chill vibe and private, sizable pitches in an orchard/wooded setting. Clean facilities with hot water are common. Great location for village access and walks. Dog-friendly with fires/BBQs welcome. Some report inconsistent cleanliness, toilet roll shortages, unclear check-ins, and loud music events.

Main Meadow primitive grass campsite
Liked Everything! Toilets and showers clean and easy accessible to pitch, washing up facilities great.
Very secluded, we were in the main meadow which is the biggest however there was just us and one other family so had the whole field to ourselves which was bliss! Even with being full the area you bet is very spacious!
Loved we could have our own fires too!
Owner comes round with logs each evening. Assume it was cash as we didn't get any but £15 for a big wheelbarrow so great price!
Lovely area for children to play, rope and tyre swings, lovely walks too!
Disliked Not really a dislike but you don't meet anyone on arrival so you just pull up, find the meadow and pitch anywhere you like! So we were abit confused to start where we had to go as there's several diff pitches but it is all signposted!

Good, wholesome, back to basics camping
End Meadow primitive grass campsite
Liked Clean facilities, back to basics camping, friendly atmosphere, nice walk to the village, amazing stars at night!
Disliked Field was a bit uneven which was a little bit of a challenge for pitching but not awful. Would be great to have electric as an option too. Would also have been helpful to understand the layout of the fields and facilities ahead of booking.

Main Meadow primitive grass campsite
Liked The Freedom to pitch wherever. It was a really relaxed campsite with lots of little ventures for the kids to explore in a safe environment. Switched off and zoned out kinda space with the options of campfires
Disliked It's not a dislike but something to be mindful of, we took our small)she's vintage so is small) caravan, and had we of arrived later in the day we may have struggled to park her up, it's quite a narrow field if you're reversing something bigger than a car

Lovely campsite set in the woods, pet friendly and great facilities!
End Meadow primitive grass campsite
Liked It is a lovely campsite set in an old orchard with lots of apple trees and blackberry bushes hidden around. There are lovely walks straight from the campsite, it is pet friendly and all the facilities are clean and well looked after.

Small Meadow primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Great location near village
Disliked Was very cramped and busy so we gave up and left. We had booked it as it was described as peaceful so it was not as described. We pile be great if you’re looking for a busy campsite where you can pitch up as a large group

From the manager: Hi Kate,
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. The weekend you booked was one of only 2 really busy weekends we have (The first weekend of the summer holidays and the Aug bank holiday). Outside of these weekends we are usually much quieter. If you want peace and quiet i suggest booking during the week or outside of the summer holidays. If you had made your issue known to me at the time i'm sure i would have able to find you a quieter pitch somewhere else on the site. I do try to keep everyone happy. Including those in larger groups. I hope this experience wont stop you from returning.
Would definitely go back, really lovely little site.
Main Meadow primitive grass campsite
Liked Laid back feel
Good size pitches
Friendly atmosphere
Lovely location for a walk into the village near coop and 2 pubs
Dog friendly
Disliked Toilet roll needs to be replenished more frequently or a large commercial size dispenser needs to be installed as they ran out frequently which isn’t the best!
Hot water was a bit temperamental at the washing up sink
Could do with cutting back a few of the thorny branches which overhang the main route to toilets and also overhanging on pitches

Main Meadow primitive grass campsite
Liked Really loved this place! Had a great atmosphere, loved the informailty of it. Often campsites have so many rules they may as well have a sign up saying "no fun allowed",but not this place. Has a very cool and unique bar on site as well as a food van which did excellent food and were able to cater to a severe nut allergy. We will 100% return again and recommend to all of our friends. We may even return again this year as we loved it so much. They were very accommodating to us, thank you for a great weekend!
