  • Tourer park at Kenilworth Rugby Club, 10 minutes’ drive from the M40
  • Kenilworth Castle five minutes’ drive; Stratford-upon-Avon 20 minutes
  • Family-friendly on-site bar; within walking distance of supermarkets
Regardless of whether you’re looking to overnight close to Junction 15 of the M40 (10 minutes’ drive away) as part of an onward journey, or wanting to bed down with your rugby-mad family to catch a Saturday match in season, you’ll receive a warm welcome at Kenilworth Rugby Club. This family-friendly tourer park (with hardstanding pitches right behind the goal posts) has toilets in the club house for camping guests to use. It’s near the centre of town, and within walking distance of major supermarkets for stocking up. There is also a welcoming restaurant-bar on site, run by the clubhouse manager Nigel, which can prepare simple meals (including takeaway options) subject to availability. The local area is full of wonderful ways to pass your days: follow historic trails around Kenilworth Castle, or investigate the old-world pubs and restaurants along the lively High Street and Castle Hill. There’s also an abundance of walks, footpaths and cycle routes straight from the pitches – just ask club staff for their suggestions.

What customers say

Great for overnight stops near the motorway, with quiet, spacious pitches. Loved by those visiting family or the town, and the bar's friendly, good value. Downsides: basic, sometimes dirty washrooms, cold showers, tricky height barrier, and some felt it was pricey for what's offered.

Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked Location for town. We stopped here for a concert in beautiful Warwick Castle - a taxi ride away.

Disliked Other vans parked all over the place. Think they were ‘travellers’ Lots of rubbish, plastic bottles, wrappers left lying around. Too expensive, £17, for what it is, against Stratford at £14, in the heart of town.

Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked Nice quiet to stay for 3 nights.

Disliked The entrance to the parking area. Is very rough for motor homes. Knowing signs stating were they were located would be very helpful.

Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked Nothing

Disliked Barrier access not suitable for elderly or disabled. A couple of chained up old step ladders needed releasing then navigate the hidden padlock on top of the barrier 8ft high! Swing the damaged barriers open hoping they don’t damage your moho as they kept swinging in the wind.
Rough dirt track to navigate to a rough gravelled unmarked area. A couple of selfish families took half of the area by the manner they had pitched. Took the wheelie bin for themselves and filled to overflowing in their area.
Club house was deserted.
No directions to elsan point.
Felt like we were in a gypsy camp

Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked Field for my dog to have a little walk on in the morning and late evening.

Disliked I arrived on a Saturday, they had an event on sadly but well allowed.
There were lots of children running circles around the cars and vans.
The club was very busy, toilet was filthy too.
Did not explore the showers after seeing the toilet.

Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked Great place to park for walking access to the town. Fairly level parking.

Disliked No showers, water not easily accessible, dangerous entry system of keys, padlocks and ladders needed to move/open the height barrier before reaching the small car park.
Overpriced at £20 - should be £5 a night, £10 at a real push
