  • Scenic riverside park with a river taxi to Stratford-upon-Avon centre
  • Over a mile and a half of free fishing on the River Avon
  • Riverside Venue Bar and Restaurant and a multi-sports pitch on site
Imagine drifting past weeping willows, verdant banks and genteel swans in your own private river taxi, before stepping off in the centre of stunning Stratford-upon-Avon only a mile away. If this sounds like the kind of thing dreams are made of, take a look at Stratford Parks Holiday Park, a peaceful and plant-filled site on the River Avon in the Warwickshire countryside. The park's Riverside Venue Bar and Restaurant has a delicious variety of food and drink, as well as events throughout the high season and on some weekends. There's a multi-sports pitch on site for family games and over a mile and half of free river fishing for those who want to spend a peaceful afternoon on the river banks. A daily river taxi service also runs from Stratford Parks Holiday Park to Stratford-upon-Avon, where there are Shakespeare attractions and lots of places to eat or shop. Arriving with a furry companion? There are also designated dog-walking areas on site.

Liked Warm welcome. Riverside pitch location. Proximity to the Riverside pub which served excellent meals. Half hourly bus service into Stratford-upon-Avon (X18). 30 minute walk to town along "Millionaires row" or along the river.

Disliked Facilities need updating. Avoid pitching under the trees! WiFi is not free.

Liked Lovely site. We purposely went after the schools had gone back, so the site was quiet and not too busy. Large pitches with Electric. Plenty of water points are scattered around. The showers were spotless and large with plenty of hot water. Lovely bar and restaurant on site. Reasonably priced with a large menu. A little water taxi will take you directly to the town. Please note, it is CASH only and the nearest cash point is a 15-minute walk away. 2 large dedicated dog fields fooff-leashad fun. I would stay here again.

Liked Nothing, it was terrible!

Disliked The site was horrible. We arrived and were shown to our electric pitch at the end of row. Our van over looked the field of tents, all facing us. It was like a goldfish bowl. At 5pm most were sat in groups drinking & the noise levels were not great.
There was one toilet/ shower block for 2 large fields. Whilst clean it was extremely dated.
We have stayed on large sites before, but this was not nice. We decided it was not for us & left.
I had checked the reviews prior to booking & really cannot understand why people would highly rate the site. It was expensive compared to other sites & thought we would get quality, but certainly did not.
Customer service phoned and said we should have asked to move pitch, apparently there are quieter pitches, but I am not sure where they were & the ‘facilities’ would still be the same.

From the manager: Firstly, thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I personally spoke with you the following day, and I’d like to clarify the situation. You left the site without raising any concerns with our wardens, who are available 24/7 specifically to assist guests. Had you spoken to them, we would have been more than happy to move you to a pitch of your preference, as we always strive to ensure our customers are comfortable.

You also mentioned that you would leave a negative review if we did not issue a refund, so we were expecting your comments and are pleased to have the opportunity to respond.

Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and we wish you all the very best.

Local attractions

For a change from the river taxi, guests can stroll into Stratford-upon-Avon to take in a play from the Royal Shakespeare Company, have a flutter at the races, or visit the many Shakespeare sights dotted around the city. There’s also excellent retail therapy to be had here, as well as in the elegant surrounding towns of Cheltenham, Royal Leamington Spa and Warwick.
Sporty types will find golf courses, swimming pools and many other facilities nearby, and of course there are plenty of good walking opportunities along the river and out into the lovely Warwickshire countryside. Further along the banks of the Avon are the stately country house of Charlecote Park, and winsome Warwick Castle, which has plenty of things to do and see for all ages. Also nearby are the majestic ruins of Kenilworth Castle, where Robert Dudley and Elizabeth I used to make out; or you could follow in the footsteps of the Gunpowder Plotters of 1605 with a visit to Coughton Court. At the Ragley Hall Estate, visitors can take a tour of the Palladian mansion, go sculpture spotting in the Capability Brown parkland, or lose themselves in the 3D maze. The site is also a great base from which to explore the villages and landscapes of the Cotswolds.
