What customers say
Peaceful, spacious site with large pitches, back-to-basics feel. Praised for clean facilities, compost toilets, well-stocked pantry, and friendly hosts (Eva). Easy access to pub/walks. Minor notes: occasional camper noise, limited bins in peak season. No cars on pitches means using wheelbarrows.

We had a fantastic time just…
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We had a fantastic time just myself and my 4 sons having a chill out. The site is large for only 12 pitches and the actual pitch sizes are enormous. We managed 3 small tents and a gazebo. Able to have BBQ and open fire fire (off ground). Overall an excellent site and local to us so will be looking to use again. The composting toilets looked new and refurbished and ere clean and well maintained.
Disliked Nothing was exactly as expected. Really enjoyed our stay

Good all round experience.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked A really lovely experience, but far too short as we only stayed the one night. Next time will be longer.
Disliked Just the walk from the car park to the site to carry all the gear. although it was nice the have the use of the wheelbarrows. There was a music festival across fom the site and the music did go far too long, till around 4am....

Lovely spacious campsite. Cute little pantry…
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Lovely spacious campsite. Cute little pantry for extra treats. Good walks nearby and local pub just up the road for food and drinks. The pub isn't open on Mondays but there is another pub in the next village that is open and very nice.
Disliked Ground was a little bumpy if you plan to sleep without a camping bed or blow up.
There is sheep in the next field that like to run around at night. I wouldn't say this is a dislike, but if I was to camp here again I might move further away from them.
Again, not a dislike.. but there is a cat that walks the field and did try to come inside our tent. We love cats so not a problem but feel it might be worth mentioning if you are not so keen on them. Seemed friendly and a beautiful cat.

Disliked Leaving !
My only thing I could suggest is perhaps putting a black bin in the field near the entrance as I was so relaxed I didn’t want to walk to the area lol

Really recommend for a nice into wild camping experience!
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Eva was really lovely. Likes the space you get for one pitch. The pantry was a very nice touch!. The toilets were very clean for outhouses! Enjoyed our stay for a wild camping experience.
Disliked My husband struggled sitting properly with the basin attached to the inside of toilet, he felt like it was too high for him to sit comfortably without it touching him but for me it was completely fine.
