Planning a break on the Costa Brava coast, famed for its wild coves, cliffs and clear Mediterranean waters? Enter Camping Santa Elena Ciutat, a green, dog-friendly site 900 metres from the closest beach. This place is in fact 10 minutes’ walk from Playa de Fenals (so close that guests come and go without a thought) and within half an hour’s walk of yet more coves – including one that very much meets Costa Brava’s ‘wild coast’ reputation. Of course, its top location might be its biggest selling point, but with 10 hectares of greenery and plenty of shade from centuries-old trees, there’s a lot more to like about Camping Santa Elena. The site has a bunch of long-standing facilities (old but tenderly cared for and constantly being improved). These include a gorgeous outdoor swimming pool, volleyball and football fields, bar, restaurant, miniature golf and entertainment schedule. It'll take you just 15 minutes to stroll to the centre of Lloret de Mar, where there are all kinds of restaurants, bars and shops, as well as several amusement parks, the Can Garriga maritime museum (half an hour’s walk), shows in the Teatre Municipal de Lloret de Mar (25 minutes) and the Gran Casino Costa Brava (25 minutes’ walk) Some of the wildest local coves are Platja de sa Boadella (15 minutes), a popular snorkelling spot with fabulous shallow water, and the even more remote Cala Banys (25 minutes). As for those who are looking to take a day trip to a big city, Girona (40 minutes’ drive) and Barcelona (an hour) are some splendid and achievable options.

Great spot, close to the beach & town, with a pool & restaurant. Staff are friendly, pitches are roomy, and it's clean. Some folks mentioned noise from other campers and tired bathrooms, but upgrades are coming. Good for families and a bit of a buzz.

Liked Buona posizione, fatto solo 1 giorno, ma il campeggio è davvero ben fatto è bello.

Disliked Volevo fermarmi un giorno in più ma nonostante il sito mi dava disponibilità di posti non mi hanno fatto fermare perché dicevano che era tutto pieno e prenotato.

Disliked Servizio clienti scadente fanno finta di non capire è parlano in catalano stretto dove non si riesce a capire nessuna parola.(Praticamente ti prendono in giro). Sporcizia di ogni genere da per tutto,i bagni sporchi con odori sgradevoli dove non vengono mai puliti e disinfettati. Come prendere il proprio denaro e buttarlo nel wc. Sconsiglio questo posto

Liked L’emplacement par rapport au centre de Lloret , la propreté des sanitaires il y a des personnes qui nettoient toute la journée, la piscine par sa taille , les emplacements ombragés et le service de sécurité du camping il tournent toutes les nuits dans les allées et passé une certaine heure il font taire le bruit très rapidement bravo👏 5*

Disliked Je dirais le professionnalisme des deux jeunes maître nageur , ils posent leur fesses sur des chaises regardent leur téléphone , discutent entre eux mais s occupent pas beaucoup de surveiller les baigneurs. ca m’a choqué

Disliked Lower Sanitary block( the one closer to the pool) is outdated, in poor condition and not clean. Bring your paper caused not furnished or refilled frequently
The sanitary block on the hill is better but few items were broken by young party animals!!!

Recruit your five senses for local botanical gardens, which include Jardins de Santa Clotilde (10 minutes’ walk), Jardí Botànic Tropical Paratge Pinya de Rosa (25 minutes) and Jardí Botànic Marimurtra (15 minutes’ drive). Well, Water World Parc (20 minutes’ walk) is kitted out with waterslides and a wave pool, Sould Park (20 minutes’ walk) has an assault course and dry rides and Arbre Aventura (five minutes’ walk) has treetop assault courses.
