Decide for yourself at Camping Garden Park in the lush Upper Carniola region of the country… this site has views of the mountains all around, so you can sit back on a deckchair in a serene setting when you’re not checking out the town and lake of Bled just a 15-minute drive up the road. It’s a cinch to reach this sought-after spot using the E61 motorway that veers close to the park, which also leads to the Austrian border 45 minutes’ drive in one direction and the capital of the nation, Ljubljana, about 40 minutes away in the other. The road’s separated from Camping Garden Park by a river gorge, preserving that peaceful feel... Some of Slovenia’s best sightseeing’s close by, including the aforementioned Bled with its scenic church sitting on an island in the middle of the lake. This is a stunning place for a gentle stroll or cycle ride and you can boat across the water for scenes that are just as pristine. A lesser-known lake, Bohinj, is within a 45-minute drive for a dip in quieter surrounds amid the Julian Alps, and the 15th- and 16th-century houses in the old town of Radovljica – which also has a castle and a beekeeping museum – are reachable in 10 minutes. To switch milling about the lovely area for a bit of thrillseeking, rafting, ziplining, canyoning and skydiving are available near the park (ask on site for details).

Peaceful, nature-filled escape with awesome mountain & river views. Guests loved the big, clean pitches, great kitchen & friendly staff. Just be aware sanitary facilities can get busy during peak times. Great value, handy for exploring Bled.

Liked Localisation du camping : en pleine nature, entouré de montage et au bord de la rivière, c’était parfait.
Accès à une cuisine et des frigos : idéal quand on est en tente.
Sanitaires propres.
Grand espace pour planter la tente et camping calme.

Disliked Les sanitaires centraux du camping ont été fermés le lendemain de notre arrivée. Il fallait donc marcher assez loin pour aller aux toilettes, pas pratique notamment la nuit.

Disliked Lontananza dai servizi, bagni in condizioni indecenti. Per il numero degli opsiti servono più servizi e più efficienti. In qualsiasi ora del giorni la fila per bagno, doccia e pulizia dei piatti era lunghissima

Liked It was a lot of space in the end of August! No parties, no loud noises. I also like good equipped kitchen :) Toilets and showers were cleaned, water was warm.
It was raining all the time but all space was dry - so no worries about the tents.
And the views!!! Was amazing

możesz rozbić się tam gdzie uważasz w wyznaczonym do tego dużym obszarze.

To miejsce jest w porządku.
Jest dość drogo- bo Słowenia jest droższa niż bałkany...
Obsługa jest OK.
Jadąc do kogoś godzisz się na jego zasady- ich zasady są naprawdę OK. - jednak mogą wydawać się surowe niektórym... zmanierowanym- namiot to nie hotel- ogarnijcie się ludzie.
To miejsce jest bazą wypadową a nie celem samym w sobie...
Słowenia to świetnu kraj- nie bójcie sie ich odwiedzić- nie będziecie zawiedzeni.

Local attractions

After a trip to Bled continue on towards Soteska Vintgar (25 minutes) for a 1.6-kilometre-long gorge walk beside the jewel green Radovna river. You’ll come to a small waterfall towards the end; for a larger and prettier one travel past Bohinj towards Savica (about an hour away). Alternatively, you can take a jaunt to another gorge, Pokljuka (around 40 minutes by car), which is a little more peaceful than its counterpart closer by. For less strenuous sightseeing, castles are in Kranj and Brdo (20 minutes) as well as Bled and the Old Town of Ljubljana. While you’re in Slovenia’s biggest city you can also picnic in Tivoli Park, sip coffee at cafés on the Ljubljanica River and check out the historic displays in the National Museum of Slovenia.
