The spectacular seafront setting of Camping Internazionale Castelfusano means you can have both: it's slap bang opposite a big sandy beach, and only 25 kilometres from the fab old piles and centuries of history of Rome. Campeggio Internazionale Castelfusano is three kilometres from the town of Ostia, under an hour from Rome by public transport. Base yourself here for beach days and city sightseeing, wildlife wanders in the State Natural Reserve of the Roman Coast next door, and proximity to sailing, horse riding, tennis and scuba diving, all within five kilometres. The site runs a kids' club in summer with activities such as crafts and juggling, alongside evening entertainment for all including live music and theme dinners. There's a pool and a playground, a TV room and table tennis, and a bar, restaurant and mini market. Among the amenities are a launderette with washing machines and tumble dryers; a washing-up area, and three washrooms with toilets and free hot showers. Barbecues are allowed and gas cylinders are available for sale.

Awesome spot near the beach & Rome transport. Friendly staff, clean amenities, tasty on-site food. Shady sites & good vibes. Some found facilities a bit old and road/beach club noise could be heard. Still a top base for exploring.

Le personnel parle très bien français
L'accessibilité à la plage est vraiment appréciable et elle est gratuite, chose rare en Italie. Le bus est juste en face, il emmène direct à la gare.

Liked Urgemütlicher Campingplatz mit vielen Möglichkeiten , vom Zelt bis zum Liner.
Der Pool , klein aber sauber und zum abkühlen sehr gut geeignet. Bietet Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme.
Gastronomie, hervorragend !!!
Wir haben entspannte Abende in familiärer Atmosphäre bei unterhaltsamer Livemusik erlebt.
Preis , Leistung , gut 👍
Noch dazu bietet Frank direkt auf dem Platz geführte Touren nach und durch Rom an . Zu unschlagbaren Preisen. Es ist eher so , wie mit einem guten Freund durch Rom zu schlendern. Wir können ihn zu 100 % empfehlen 👍👍👍

Liked La plage est accessible facilement à pied et Rome est accessible en 50 min de bus et train pour 1.50€.
Le personnel parle français.
Les emplacements tente sont ombragés.

Disliked Le personnel n'inspire pas confiance : la seule justification du prix à payer est le prix qu'il vous donne. Il n'y a pas de détails et s'il y en a, il ne faut pas en tenir compte.
Globalement, le prix est cher, pour le service rendu.
Les sanitaires sont sales, peu ou pas lavés et mal éclairés.
Il n'y a de l'eau chaude que dans les douches. Vous faites la vaisselle à l'eau froide.
Wifi accessible qu'à proximité de la réception.
L'environnement est bruyant, a cause de la route qui longe la plages, les clubs riverains et l'aéroport.

Local attractions

In between all those days in Rome, explore the local coastline and its beaches, the wildlife areas and heaps of other old sites and ruins in the region. Sailing, horse riding, tennis and scuba diving will keep you busy in and out of the water within five kilometres of the site. Next to Campeggio Internazionale Castelfusano is the State Natural Reserve of the Roman Coast, covering almost 16,000 hectares including the last section of the Tiber and the mouth of the Arrone river, in an area of dunes and villages, archaeological remains and pinewoods. The ruins of Ostia Antica and the Castle of Julius II are within the reserve, 10 kilometres from base. Rome, 25 kilometres away, has enough old sights (the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and St Peter's Basilica for starters) to keep you geekily occupied for yonks, but if you yearn for yet more, a good day trip is to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este, 50 kilometres away at Tivoli. Less culturally but most amusedly, the Zoo Marine amusement park and Rainbow Magicland theme park are 10 and 40 kilometres away.
