What customers say
Top spot! Friendly staff, heaps of room, and close to Montreuil Bellay and its castle. Clean facilities, a ripper pool, and a bar. Mostly peaceful, though a few folks mentioned pitch levelling, shower spray, and Wi-Fi. Dog-friendly and great for exploring.

Beautiful site, good sized pitch with privacy and friendly staff.
Powered grass site (comfort)
Liked Location was beautiful. Loved taking a walk along the river just behind our pitch. Facilities were clean and regularly maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful (and very patient with our poor French!) food was lovely, the bar was great to sit and chill with a good selection of drinks. The washing machine was fairly priced and easy to use. Pool was great. And the very short walk in to the beautiful town and the chateau made for a lovely morning out.
Disliked The only negative we have is that we didn’t have longer at this site.

Misleading advertisement. Essentially pontins.
Eden powered grass site (riverside)
Liked The location and surrounding area.
Disliked The pitch was small and in full sun for most of the day. We had a riverside pitch, but was overgrown on the other side of the pitch, so no river view. We were next to a screaming baby for our 3 nights, so sleep deprived. It’s not as described, not a tranquil, riverside campsite, it’s a full on kids club, loud and not the vibe we were expecting with our teenage children, no sun loungers ever, pool was heaving and had repeated kids club events in it. Loud noise generally with lots of screaming children day and night. Shower block is old and dated and in serious need of repair.

Incredibly noisy until after 11pm. Messy. Vomit on the path to the loo

The noise. Entertainment until after 11pm.
When I described our problems (incredible noise) we were refused a refund.
Just a bad, bad time.

The walks from the campsite and lovely bakery in walking distance.
Level pitches
Good location for couple of nights on our way further south to break up the journey.
Disliked Only a few showers have been renewed. Only one big enough if showering with children so big wait for it.
The furniture at the bar and restaurant are very wobbly.
Same price pitches vary massively in size.
A lot of people kept towels on sun beds all day even if they didn’t go to them till late afternoon when the pool was the busiest.
Was told at check in that there was a children’s club but not to bother sending our children as it’s all in French.
Washing up facilities water was only just warm than cold.

Liked Great location, warm welcome, clean campsite and lots of trees
Disliked Pitch wasn't massively level for a tent, but that's what you get with trees!

Lovely brief stay, pretty village, river setting very unique
Eden powered grass site (riverside)
Liked The setting by the river, walk to village and supermarket. Pool
Disliked Wifi should be free, recommend maintaining the growth to optimize view of river, some pitches had clear view some were obstructed by weeds and brush. Showers should be more of a spray and will save water and energy

Liked Good sized, quiet pitch with shrubs either side. Restaurant and shop on site was great. Very quick walk to the chateau, cafes/bars and restaurants in the town. 15min walk to the big supermarket.

Powered grass site (comfort)
Liked The atmosphere and friendliness of staff. Pitches were very generous and plenty of space. Swimming pool was good to cool off and the snack bar and entertainment were also great. Plenty to do on site. Facilities are ok, basic but clean. Lovely walk from the site to the chateau!
