Disliked: The man in charge is extremely unpleasant, aggressive and rude. Having given us the code to the big security gate, he failed to mention that it would be non functional after 10 pm so we were unable to re enter the camp site . He appeared to find this amusing and was happy to abandon 4 women alone in the dark. It was a very disturbing experience and I could not recommend this site to anyone.

From the manager: le jour de l arrive le code du portail est donne et je rappelle malgré que ce soit note qu'il n 'y a aucune circulation entre 22 h et 6 h dans le camping (sauf cas urgence pompier...)
vous donnez ce message car vous avez mal pris le fait que j ai demande à votre femme de nettoyer son toilette qui était disons le remplit d'excrément voici la note de la propreté également
très facile de mal noté et dire des mensonges :)
votre fille qui parle français le savait tout ça maintenant si personne ne discute ou lit le papier je n 'y suis pour rien

CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION


To be allowed to enter, settle in or stay at Le CATTIAUX Camping**, you must have been authorized by the manager or his representative. The latter has the obligation to ensure the good maintenance and order of the campsite as well as compliance with the application of these internal regulations.

Staying on the campsite implies acceptance of the provisions of these regulations displayed at the entrance to the campsite as well as at reception.

PROHIBITIONS

- Any connection of electric vehicles is prohibited unless authorized by management
with metered billing.
- The sanitary system is under a lift pump for proper operation
of this do not throw anything in the toilet (wipes, rags)


RESPECT

- Dogs are tolerated on your plot on a leash
- Kept on a short leash on paths and parking lots
- Prohibited on neighboring plots as well as on tent pitch lawns
- No vehicle traffic between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Out of respect for the neighborhood, keep it quiet after 10 p.m.

Disliked: Zeltplatz liegt unmittelbar am Spielplatz & an der Hauptverkehrsstraße. Gasgrillen nicht erlaubt, dafür aber Holzkohle. Preis überdurchschnittlich teuer für eine Nacht.

Liked: Pitches are a good size. Easy access into Paris on the trains.

Disliked: Limited facilities for the whole campsite. No access to water except in the sinks. No toilet roll in the toilets no soap in the sinks. No access to bread / bakery items for breakfast and a long way from any shops. All very basic.

From the manager: hello there is no toilet paper we are a 2 star campsite it is not obligatory to provide it madame
for accommodation 4/10 it's your equipment I can't do anything about it
there is no bread store we have a bakery 1 km from the campsite

Liked: It was cheap and ideally located for our purposes in the area

Disliked: I main "complaint" is the tent camping experience - a grassy area with freeplacement for tent campers - power provided by a cable drum dropped in the middle of the field, with 4 outlets for all to share. The car parking was just up against the field, which was both good and bad - mostly bad. Bad in the sense that we had to track our stuff from the car 20m all the time we needed things in the car, bad that when others on the site used their cars, it would affect the whole camp, bad also in the way that there was more tent camping groups than parking spots up against the tent plot, meaning some had to park 100m away at times, and carry everything around even further.

Disliked: I disliked NOT getting the campsite I expected.
From the pictures on the campsite website, and from the wording on the booking form, I understood I had booked a private pitch 10m x 10m, separated from other pitches by hedges, as per usual on French campsites. I had also booked electricity.
In reality, the camping area was just a large patch of grass, with all the tents together. Not a private or reserved pitch. And the electrical supply was just a DIY extension reel with four sockets for everyone to share.
In addition, it was not allowed to park cars on the camping area, which made unloading hard and time consuming.
Don't get me wrong, I've done a fair bit of lightweight camping, so I'm fine with no cars on the campsite, but on this trip I had my family and a big family tent with all the kit so having to lug it all from the carpark to the actual camping spot - which was just a random spot on the grass in among all the other tents - was simply not what I expected.
So my advice: when booking here, just be sure you know what you're getting.

From the manager: hello thank you for your opinion the tent space is common and not individual plots it is well noted and the photos are very realistic on the site for the observation regarding electricity several people asked for it and we had no others solutions but the change for work is in progress sorry for this inconvenience
our land is too small to put the cars near the tents
