  • Quiet Brittany campsite five minutes’ drive from the Baie d’Audierne
  • Plage de Kerrest five minutes’ drive and Quimper half an hour
  • Bar and takeaway in summer; heated pool, play area and sports field
Come to Camping La Corniche for a Brittany holiday on a well-run, well-kept park, with loads to do on site and in the locality – it’s a handy starting point for exploring Finistère and the Pointe du Raz – whether your tastes tend towards active options or recharging your batteries with family and friends. The site is also 1.5 kilometres from Plage de Kerrest on the Baie d’Audierne, 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Plozévet and half an hour to historic Quimper. When not sunbathing on the beach or guzzling local oysters, take a dip in the heated indoor swimming pool, while younger guests have use of a paddling pool, a children’s play area with a slide and a bouncy castle to jump around on. There’s also a football pitch, a pétanque court and table-tennis tables, and if you’re holidaying in July and August, the licensed bar and takeaway service are open all day, with entertainment organised on occasional evenings. At Camping La Corniche, there are family-friendly facilities including accessible toilets, showers, washing-up facilities, a launderette and a baby area.

Liked Good location. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The site is generally well kept and the camping pitches are well segregated. A bread delivery service is available in the morning. The pool is nice although a bit cold

Disliked The toilets and showers need modernisation and need to be cleaned more frequently and more thoroughly.
The furniture in the bar is old plastic garden chairs. A leg of the chair I was sitting on broke and I fell on my back. The barman was very disinterested and didn’t even bother checking I was ok. He even charge one of our group for a replacement drink for one that had been spilled on the fall.

Liked What a lovely family site, the staff spoke perfect English, and were very friendly. The receptionist Cecillia was wonderful as was the manager who walked around the site every day ensuring everyone was ok. The local supermarket is within walking distance as is the beach. Very quiet site, with a park and pool for youngsters and a covered pool for older children and adults. A bar which had some entertainment should you require it and a small shop. All in all a lovely stay on a friendly small campsite. Clean and friendly.

Disliked If I had to be picky I would have preferred the grass on the pitches to be shorter, and the pool to be a bit warmer.

Local attractions

Walk or cycle along to Plozévet (five minutes’ drive) for a potter around this seaside town first of all, then drive along the coast to Audierne (15 minutes) to investigate its shops, plus cafés and restaurants serving the freshest of local oysters. You can also take a boat from Audierne’s port of Esquibien (20 minutes) to the legendary Île de Sein. Well-worth a day trip is the seaside town of Benodet, about 40 minutes’ drive away, for its long length of family-friendly beach, indoor options including art galleries, a casino and the Benodet Seaside Museum, or boat trips from the marina to the sandy beaches of the Glénan Islands. Hubs for sailing, kayaking, surfing, diving, walking and horse riding are found all nearby, along with cycling trails and fishing spots.
