Giant yurt (seven person)

Liked Host very welcoming, great for kids, relaxed, everything you need in the kitchen.

We stayed for two nights and would stop over again, next time for three nights.

Disliked As a British person, I like to drink tea. There are lots of coffee machines, but no kettle so I had to boil water on the hob..

This is a minor issue, overall the kitchen was very good.

Ranch 3 bedroom static caravan (six person)

Liked The kids didn't want to leave this place for days out because they were so happy on site. From swimming with the fish, to racing the go karts down the hill, back up to the play area for games, ping pong, slides, so many swings dotted aorund, relaxing in one of the many hammocks, borrowing a bike for a ride. There's so much to do. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, the owners and staff are warm and welcoming, the food specials and breakfasts (not every day but most days) are homemade and delicious. There is accommodation to suit everyone - the yurts and teepees looked amazing but we opted for the 3 bed chalet so that we had our own facilities, but we could still make use of the communal fireplace for BBQ etc. A really fantastic, peaceful place to stay.

Giant yurt (seven person)

Liked Absolutely everything. Tons of stuff to do for the kids. They had a wonderful stay. The Giant yurt was absolutely giant.
Also, the host was very friendly and helpfull to us.
Oh, and the swimming pool with fish is a very cool experience.
Thanks a lot for making this oasis!

Liked Everything this is an exceptional place. Everything you could possibly need. Very unique and inclusive. Lots of fun things for the kids and the pool was interesting, a fab experience. Yurt and toilets very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended. Even helped accomodate a gluten free dinner!

Local attractions

The Musée de la Tapisserie de Bayeux (25 minutes’ drive) displays the famed tapestry, embroidered with the military exploits of William the Conqueror across the Channel in 1066 and the Battle of Hastings. Also in town is the Museum of the Battle of Normandy, with exhibits on D-Day. When in Caen (35 minutes), check out the imposing 11th-century Abbaye-aux-Hommes, where William the Conqueror (him again…) is buried. Exhibits at the Mémorial de Caen, on the outskirts of town, focus on World War II and the Cold War. At Omaha Beach (40 minutes) children can fly kites, build sandcastles and paddle in the shallow waters. They can also learn a thing or two about history, with the Omaha Beach Memorial and the nearby Normandy American Cemetery illustrating the events that took place on this sandy stretch during World War II.
