  • Friendly and simple site steps from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path
  • Above dog-friendly Caerfai beach a mile from St Davids
  • Well-kept amenities and dog friendly
Sunsets over the sea and the spectacular Pembrokeshire coast… simply stunning. If you like the sound of that, you’ll most likely love a stay at St Davids Farm Camping, a simple site a mile from Britain’s smallest city. This peaceful place prides itself on a friendly and relaxed atmosphere – the four fields here are part of a working farm where you’re welcome to pick your own pitch. No need to fight for the best spots either, for all fields are treated to those spectacular views over St Brides Bay and equally easy access to the coast. There’s plenty of space for kids to play games around the site, and dogs are welcome, both here and on Caerfai beach a leisurely 10-minute amble away. Walks are a top pick in the area around the site, with the Pembrokeshire Coast Path just a few minutes away. The site's basic amenities include well-kept gents’ and ladies’ toilets and showers; standpipes for drinking water, and picnic benches. There are plenty of places to retreat to for eats and drinks in St Davids.

What customers say

Great coastal campsite with killer sea views & path access. Friendly staff, top-notch facilities (new showers are a win!). Can be windy on the cliffs, and some spots are a trek to the amenities. Dog-friendly with food on-site.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked the views were beautiful, the camp is minutes from a gorgeous beach & the Pembrokeshire coastal path, local people are so friendly. good variety of people there, from couples to families. dog friendly :)
hot showers and toilets available, washing up facilities too, if needed.
bottom fields are furthest from the toilets, but this didn't bother me at all.
good base for lots of visits to many beautiful places in Pembrokeshire. Campsite is in walking distance to St Davids, well worth a visit to the Cathedral!
I couldn't find where to check in, but got a call from the owner to check up on my check in time, which was appreciated. Sorry I didn't get to meet you!
I even got good internet connection on my phone, didn't need it but useful to know!

Disliked nothing

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked I absolutely recommend this campsite, located by the sea. It has huge fields, and you can choose your own spots. The owner is very kind. The toilets and showers are always clean, maybe not the best standard, but clean at all times of the day and night. It's close to a beautiful, friendly beach. I'll definitely be back.

Disliked There were quite a few thistles, but we dug them up near our tent and walked around barefoot. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who doesn't like dogs on the beach, as this place is very dog-friendly.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked A fantastic campsite in a brilliant location, absolutely stunning views and an easy walk into St Davids.

Toilets and showers were great, a fair way from the far end of the site (where the best views are) but perfectly fine for us.

Rob the owner was very helpful and welcoming when we arrived 10/10 will be back.

For reference, even though the only options via Pitchup were for a tent or a trailer tent, we were in a small van and there were other campers too.

Disliked Nothing to complain about.

Local attractions

Make for Caerfai beach first for a sheltered setting, colourful cliffs and birdwatching for species such as choughs, fulmars, peregrine falcons and gannets from the huge colony on nearby Grassholm Island. Surfing, kayaking, coasteering, climbing and boat trips are all easily arranged around the bay and coast too: drop into the surf school at St Davids or ask farm owners Christine and Robert for info and tips. After some time at the beach, stroll along to spectacular St Davids centre a mile from the site, for its stunning cathedral, rightly hailed as a must-see, along with the medieval Bishops Palace and a good selection of restaurants, cafés, pubs, gift shops and galleries. Call in too to the Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre to delve into the history of the city and investiage attractions and activities nearby. If you're up for a coastal hike (you really should around these parts), take the Pembrokeshire Coast Path from Oriel y Parc to Whitesands Bay or St Justinians; for boat trips and nature spotting, sail off from St Davids Peninsula around Ramsey and Grassholm islands to spy seabirds, porpoises and dolphins, as well as those thousands of Grassholm gannets.
