Liked Beautiful quiet campsite with stunning views of the sunset and sea. Facilities were great and although we didn’t visit the gardens we heard they were stunning

Liked Good space, and really good facilities. Access to the gardens was a lovely bonus, well worth a look.

Disliked It was a shame the tea room wasn't open

From the manager: Glad you enjoyed your stay. We closed the tearoom 4 years ago as it was open when the gardens were open to the public. We use the tearoom for workshops and small events.

definitely recommend for relaxing break and good base for exploring.

Liked Fantastic level pitch (rare in Pembrokeshire). Toilets/showers and wash bowels lovely and clean. Small freezer for freezer blocks and a kettle in the pot washing area. Very quiet site. Walk round the gardens/pond relaxing. Welcome in person on arrival.

Very clean toilets, basins etc.
Brilliant shower pressure.
Rachael is very helpful and friendly.
Wonderful gardens.
Great for dogs 🐕.
Enjoyed my stay so much that I have already booked to come back next week.

Liked Honestly I can’t put into words how much I loved this site.
The grounds were beautiful, we had a lovely time walking around them and exploring (and saying hello to the beautiful cat that seemed to be doing the same), the location was lovely, close enough to town that it wasn’t impossible to get anything you may need but far enough away that it was peaceful and quiet. The facilities were pristine, not once did I feel as though anything was unclean or unkempt.
We’re already planning to book a few more weekends in for this year.

Disliked I have no dislikes at all, except maybe that I never found out the cats name 😂

Local attractions

There are lots of chances to get stuck into watersports at Pembrokeshire beaches, whether it’s surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking or coasteering. Wild Lakes Wales (half an hour’s drive) will give you a full introduction too (Welsh lake-style) with wakeboarding activities and an outdoor aqua park. Those who’d rather keep their downtime moving at a quieter, slower pace can track down some peaceful beaches. Druidston Haven (10 minutes) has natural arches, caves and tall cliffs and other remote beaches include the dune-backed Barafundle Bay Beach (50 minutes) and the crescent-shaped Abermawr (25 minutes). Options for additional beach days include Broad Haven (15 minutes), surf-happy Freshwater West (45 minutes), Freshwater East (45 minutes) and Whitesands (25 minutes). Tick off some historic sites such as St Davids Cathedral (20 minutes) and Pembroke Castle (35 minutes), one of Pembrokeshire’s most impressive castles. While the site recommends their own gardens, which have been open to the public for 32 years, other gardens include the Picton Castle Gardens (20 minutes) and Colby Woodland Garden (40 minutes).
