  • Peaceful Monmouthshire farm site with views of Brecon Beacons peaks
  • A five-minute drive to Raglan; 15 minutes to Monmouth
  • Five minutes' drive from a farm park
Those visions you have of waking up in the morning and looking out to see some spectacular scenery? Parc Y Deri Farm is a place that can certainly provide… At this Monmouthshire site, you’ll be greeted with views of the Sugar Loaf and Skirrid, with the Brecon Beacons forming a rather gorgeous backdrop. The rural site is a five-minute drive from Raglan (and the A40) so you’ll be assured of plenty of space while gazing up at the scenery. And plenty of peace, too – it's part of a family-run sheep and poultry farm so the majority of your neighbours are farm animals going about their daily business. Making the most of your setting should be pretty straightforward, whether you’re planning a gentle wander around the local farm park and Raglan Castle or setting off to the Brecon Beacons to get a closer look at the peaks. Pick up any supplies in Raglan (five minutes' drive) or Monmouth (15 minutes).

What customers say

This is a spacious, peaceful campsite with excellent, regularly cleaned facilities. The owner is a real standout – super friendly and welcoming, even chucking in free firewood and strawberries. Guests love the chilled vibe, great views and quiet nights. Minor points about shower door privacy aside, it’s top-notch value and people can't wait to go back.

Liked Everything…. The location is stunning, there is plenty of space to pitch whatever size tent you have. The facilities are clean and well stocked. There is a fire pit and plenty of kindling. Home made honey. The friendliness and helpfulness of the owners. The sunflowers, beautiful night time sky… what’s not to like!

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked A wonderful site. I wasn't expecting sunflowers across the field, or a view of the Sugarloaf mountain. The grass was pretty level and hardly any slope, which is important for me in a ground tent. The shower was hot, the toilets were clean, and what more could you ask? Dave the farmer came round to check everybody was ok for firewood and things, very friendly. A nice, safe, friendly atmosphere

Liked Beautiful location, wonderful host.
Weather was great, always helps, the facilities were very clean.
Loads of space even though it was busy.
As noted by others no phone signal or wifi, but shouldnt be a problem for most
Loved it,will be back next year.

Disliked Dogs without leads, why is it 90% of dog owners think everyone likes dogs & cant put them on a lead. Not the fault of the site, but....

Liked Stopped over a night to catch the meteor shower, great location for it. Good toilet and shower facilities, and a little shed selling drinks, ice cream, firewood and other bits. There was also a fridge freezer which is always handy if you’re staying longer. Sunflowers around the field definitely makes for great photo op.

Local attractions

If you’ve brought the kids along (or just fancy cooing over cute animals), head to Raglan Farm Park (five minutes’ drive) to take tractor rides and bottle feed lambs. While you’re in town, stop by at Raglan Castle to see a grand structure dating back to the 15th century. Scenic strolls and scrambles galore await over in the Brecon Beacons National Park (20 minutes). This gorgeous area of hills, mountains and waterfalls can cater for all styles of walker from those looking for simple circular routes to folk who fancy more challenging uphill ascents. There are other options too, like watersports at Llangorse Lake (45 minutes) and gentle pottering in the likes of Crickhowell (25 minutes). Turn east instead and more stunning scenery awaits: this is where the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lies. Head to Symonds Yat (20 minutes) to hire canoes to paddle down the river or head to the Forest of Dean for its sculpture trail and Puzzlewood (both half an hour).
