What customers say
Great mountain views for a chill farm stay. Hosts are super friendly! Facilities are basic but clean and good for camping (hot showers). Perfect for walks and checking out local towns. Some reckon a bit more lighting would be handy.

Lovely place, nice owner and great value for money
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Lovely spot, friendly owner and the facilities were cleaned from what I saw multiple times per day so it was kept to a great standard. Couldn’t ask for more, it was more than worth the price for what is advertised.
Disliked Nothing

Would definitely recommend this place.

Liked Beautiful location with a very friendly host. The shower was great!
Disliked The portaloos did get a bit blocked a couple of times, but it was sorted quickly.

Awful site with no facilities and non-existent staff.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Nothing
Disliked Probably the worst campsite I've ever had the misfortune to visit.
When we arrived there was no one there. I think this is fairly typical. They left a number but there is no mobile coverage. The farmhouse was totally vacant. The site was a field with no amenities. Nothing. If I'd have wanted wild camping I would have brought a spade to dig a latrine.
So, we did not hang around and went to find another site. We did. 5 minutes down the road, on the coast, absolutely wonderful.
The whole episode was a nightmare.

From the manager: We are very sorry to receive your feedback. Sincere apologies for not being around when you arrived and tried to make contact.
We did try to contact you to ask when you would be arriving (by text message), but we received no response.
We can confirm that we do have portable toilets, a hot water shower and cold water sinks at the campsite. We also try to support customers with other amenities where we can.
We do advertise as a basic, pop-up campsite which is only open through August. Therefore we do not have the permanent facilities that other campsites have.
Apologies again and we hope you enjoyed your stay in the area.

Liked The hosts were welcoming and very friendly, helpful and informative. The views were spectacular.
Camping on a working farm had a lot of charm and the nights by an open campfire with views of the mountains under the stars was very relaxing. The showers and toilets are basic but perfectly adequate for a camping trip, it was really nice having a hot shower in the morning after a night by the fire.there is a sink for washing up in the open field and the water is from a spring so should be boiled for drinking.
There are plenty of walking routes in the area with information available onsite. The hosts even lent us a map to plan out our routes.
We had a lovely time there and only wish we had more time there.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Lovely Relaxed feel in natural farm setting.
Well kept tidy site and facilities
Polite reception/owners made us feel quite at home
Easy to find via satnav
Optional facilities available e.g. fire pits, fridge and freezer
Short drive away from local towns Tywyn, Fairbourne, Barmouth, Aberdovey etc.
Excellent views across the Welsh landscape (you can even see the sea when the weather is clear)
Disliked Not a negative point but only thing I would mention is the toilet and shower facilities were a bit minimal (just a few portaloos and a single shower pod unit) but all were well kept and did the job just fine. Didn't bother me, but if you are expecting/used to a shower block etc. this may not be the site for you.
