Good location close to beach. Reasonably priced
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Clean quiet site, can choose where you pitch and there was plenty of choice.
Toilets and showers were adequate and fairly clean.
Disliked Pool closed at 4 but this wasn't explained so we didn't get to use it.
There were loads of black bugs on the balcony of the restaurant which was a shame as this area was mostly unused.

Great campsite, we will definitely be back
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Lovely campsite, we were in the bottom bit of the field, easy access to toilet and washing up facilities.
Facilities and club house were great and they are closed to the public for an hour before the evening entertainment so you can go in and get good seats.
Easy walk to the beach and there is lots down at the beach

Aber Bay, could do so much better! If you can’t, don’t offer camping.

Liked Beautiful views
Disliked We felt care for campers, had been forgotten. I intend on asking for a refund.
We paid £25 for a pitch on long thorny grass threaded with stingy nettles.
I stood on a thorn which ended up embedded in the bottom of my foot. Cutting thistles down doesn’t make them disappear.
Unclean toilet block.
No basics like toilet paper or soap.
3 ladies3 men’s cubical for about 150 pitches.
To cater for the number of camping families, there should have been facilities in each field.
3 fields, family, general and tent box!!
You were expected to, unpack and return your car to a car park.Campers use a car like a storage box. For us this is where our dogs sleep, safe so they can not escape the tent and disturb other camper or bark at loud pear leaving the bar, so not practical.
Campers had to pay £5 per person for an hour, to use the swimming pool- free to static vans.
Cold water to wash up.
No other water available to fill up larger bottles. All water came from these 2 sinks.
Dogs only allowed on one side of the beach, which I understand but it is always the grotty end, so there is a penalty for having a dog.

Would return but would like to see improvements in toilet hygiene.
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Relaxed camping near a beautiful bay. Good to have some facilities nearby (club, food, swim etc).
Disliked No soap in campsite toilets.
Often no toilet roll in toilets.
Not often checked/cleaned.

Save yourself and go somewhere else
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked The views were great
Disliked Although the club house is impressive, the bar staff fail to clear and clean the tables leaving the terrace covered in a plague of flys. The camping toilets were vile, hadn’t been cleaned, no toilet paper. Excrement all over the place. The porta shower block wasn’t much better. After realising the facility’s were this disgusting we found alternative accommodation elsewhere in Wales.

Fantastic view from campsite and from…
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Fantastic view from campsite and from bar area, individual plots marked in family part of the site. Quiet after around 10.30
Lifeguard presence to beach. Fantastic coastal walk to Aberystwyth.
Disliked Very poor toilet and shower arrangements - far too few toilets for the size of the field. No toilet paper, no soap. Most loo doors didn't lock. No hot running water to wash dishes (only two sinks), no drinkable stands (water from same taps at washing up). Double the facilities would have made for a far better experience.
Despite being told security would tell people to move cars away from tents at night, it didn't happen - people left car engines on for long time at night. Communal bins overflowing.
Whilst a fantastic view out to sea, this was an odd valley with what felt like thousands of mobile homes. Beachfront poor.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Loved it and loved the children waking up early and giggling as our have grown up
Disliked More showers would be good and I reported bins full and wasps so we took our car down by tent as I got stung

Roof tent unpowered grass site
Liked Short 5min walk to beach and amenities
Optional use of indoor pool (£5 per person)
Clubhouse with bar and restaurant
Disliked Rooftents had to set up in different area to others away from toilet/shower block, as you weren’t allowed to park next to pitch in other area (despite people actually doing this)
