What customers say

This clean, tidy spot has top-notch staff. Guests rave about the roomy, flat sites and great facilities, especially the modern showers and pool. Stunning ocean views and a chill vibe get a lot of mentions. A few found the on-site facilities limited and games room gear a bit old, but most reckon it’s great value and want to come back.

Powered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Nice pool, decent games room (though very dated), lovely views, nice toilets/showers

Disliked No beach access is a huge down side, no food/drinks available from 3-6, very poorly stocked shop, very long narrow lane down to site with no pull ins, felt more like a deserted complex than a camp site, not much for kids to do, expensive at £40 for 1 nite in the campervan

Powered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Lovely site… only 15 touring pitches .. large pitches.. hard standing for your vehicle and grass for awing etc. small clean shower block with washing up facilities. Majority of site is for statics. Children’s play area, Swimming pool with sessions to be booked.. launderette and clubhouse serving food and pizza once kitchen closes. Had singer and quiz night when we were there. Really friendly staff and dog friendly site. View is gorgeous and watching the sunset from the clubhouse decking was beautiful. Lovely long weekend break.

Powered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Peaceful location,

Disliked We stayed here last year and loved so returned....our stay last weekend was rather disappointing sadly. Finding our pitch allocated had 4 lots of dog poo, pile of dried food and lots of cigarette buts! Which we had to clean up before setting up camp.
On our last day the family shower unit was closed, broken I think....very annoying as we had our young granddaughter with us. Area felt unloved sadly. And £45 a night!

Local attractions

Pick up a safari tour at Dulverton or Dunster to see Exmoor’s wildlife in sit-down style, or take to your feet or wheels to explore the park’s walking and biking routes. Going there by night? Exmoor National Park is the first designated International Dark Sky Reserve in Europe: watch the stars at Haddon Hill or Wimbleball Lake, the first designated Dark Skies Discovery Site on Exmoor. The country park at Wimbleball is worth hanging around for a day or two too: it’s managed by the South West Lakes Trust and has an activity centre, trout fishery, bike route and nine-mile lake walk. Minehead, nine miles away from St Audries Bay, has a couple of record breakers: it’s the starting point of Britain’s longest walking trail, the South West Coast Path, and it has the country’s longest standard-gauge heritage railway, West Somerset Railway, starting at its station and running just over 20 miles to Bishops Lydeard. Weston-super-Mare is also within easy driving distance and has miles of clean beaches, a refurbished pier, a SeaQuarium, more donkeys and Britain’s only helicopter museum: give it a whirl. There are several other Somerset essentials to see within driving distance: cider farms at Taunton and Washford, two vineyards at Bridgwater, the Blackdown Hills to hike after the Quantocks, and famous Glastonbury and its abbey about 40 minutes’ drive away.
