What customers say
Immaculately kept spot, locals rave about the spotlessness, esp. loos and showers. Staff are a treat, super friendly & helpful. Great location, easy access to public transport, shops, and sights. Mostly peaceful, but a bit of train/road noise now and then. Well-kept sites, good value all round.

Liked This is a great base if you want to explore Dorset as it's between Bournemouth and Weymouth, and a 5 minute walk to the train/bus station and 2 pubs. The caravan park itself is lovely and surrounded by miles of fields by the river for lovely walks, the site is very clean, the toilets and shower block are immaculately clean and tidy.
The staff, absolutely fantastic and go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay, nothing is to much trouble at all.
We absolutely loved our time there and will definitely return, so if you want a top class park then dont hesitate in booking this one.

Liked Everything ❤️❤️❤️
The site is clean, well looked after, but it's the staff who make it.
The toilets are spotless and a little touch of music playing in there.
The staff very kindly unhitch you and put your caravan in position for you, very helpful, especially when you've been travelling for a while.
Also a great location, central for many places.
Our 2nd year here and will be back.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Liked Very welcoming and friendly staff. Pitches well kept. Excellent showers and toilet block.
A small village but with well stocked Spar, bakery, butcher, Fish &Chips, Chinese. All within easy walking distance. Pub with food over the footbridge.
We used the excellent public transport most of the week. Great connections for most of the regions attractions.
We would definitely recommend it.

Lovely smaller site, clean facilities and close to public transport.
Short stay powered grass site (XL)
Liked The toilets and showers were SUPER clean!
All the staff were incredibly friendly and informative of the local area. It is perfectly located for using public transport, both bus and train. The pitch was a great size and because it's not a huge site, all the amenities were really close. There's a little play park for younger children that ours and others seemed to enjoy.
We loved the games room, perfect for a slightly rainier evening.

Excellent site with spotlessly clean facilities, & friendly staff.
Powered concrete slab site
Liked *Whitemead is perfectly located halfway between Swanage & Weymouth with an abundance of things to do in all weathers.
*The site is kept impeccable by the (tolerant) team who work tirelessly for long hours and are always upbeat and chatty - in short a positive ambience for a relaxing staycation.
*A dog walk from the site to a local river is convenient for pup owners and ‘evidence’ all but absent.
*Discount in the Ship Inn PH over the railway bridge.
Disliked *Nine days (8 nights) is not long enough. *Personally I dislike having to pay for dogs when there are no specific dog facilities such as a dog wash.
*Expensive when an infant is charged the adult rate. But to quote a phrase - “You pay your money and make your choice”.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind review, Charles. We're glad you and your family enjoyed your stay with us and hope to welcome you back again soon. Maybe for a longer stay next time. ;)
Just to address your dislikes, even though there aren't any purpose built dog wash available, we do allow our guests to wash their dogs free of charge at the back of our reception area, if they ask. The £2 daily charge for dogs is mainly for the disposal (and sometimes, although not in your case, cleaning up) of dog waste on our site. Unfortunately, cleaning up of the riverbank and public right of way is out of our control. Also, we didn't charge you for your granddaughter as infants 3 years and under stay free of charge. :)
