What customers say
Great countryside views & peace at this working farm. Friendly owners Sue & Kevin, fresh produce a hit. Facilities mostly good, campfires loved. A few noted bell tent tidiness, worn gear & busy loos. Access road's a bit rough.

Perfect for stargazing.
Powered grass tent or campervan site
Liked It's so remote and away from anything it makes it perfect site for star gazing.
I liked the cows and horses on site.
Toilets were clean, showers not so much, full of sand.
Shower pressure was good and water was warm.
It was good value for money. They didn't offer much and we didn't pay much. Simple, easy, plain. Basic. It was good. Good view.
Disliked Toilet and shower block was build on the slope. You're having a wee and you feel like you slidimg down the toilet.
Showers are very very cramped, I had to open the door to comfortably dry and dress. Nowhere to put your toiletries when having a shower apart from the floor.

Great quiet site,
Powered grass tent or campervan site
Liked We have recently just returned from a trip to Pattacott Farm and what a lovely little gem this place is. The owners are very relaxed and happy to assist where needed. Toilets are kept very clean and well lit at night, there are 4 showers and plenty of hot water and pressure! There are also 2 compost toilets at the bottom field which you will need a torch for, but these are clean and no smells. Lovely views and waking up to the cows in front of you which was nice.
Disliked Driveway is very bumpy and more hookup points needed.

Really friendly site , quiet , rural , pleasant
Powered grass tent or campervan site
Liked Family of 7 , 4 adults 3 children,
Beautiful views across farming fields , lovely herd of young cattle in the field ajoining our pitch , in another joining field was Freddy & Rose bud the most adorable friendly ponies which the grandchildren love , Sue & Kev was always on hand to help , it wasn’t to much trouble for Kev to stand and talk to the kids about farming and the animals. Night skies was extremely beautiful (no light pollution) toilets and showers always kept clean with lots of hot water what ever time you went in . If you’re looking for a quiet site then this is for you . Thank you Sue & Kev .

From the manager: So happy that you and your dear daughter enjoyed your stay . It was a pleasure to host you and we hope that you can come again .
A lovely week
Powered grass tent or campervan site
Liked We really enjoyed our week’s stay at this peaceful, rural campsite. It’s basic but has everything you need. The shower block is clean and tidy and the grass is kept short. Sue and Kev checked in and helped us with freezing our ice blocks and lending us a couple of utensils we’d forgot. They were helpful without being encroaching.
It’s a working farm so you are going to hear some noises throughout the day and night. We got used to the little rooster and the mooing pretty quickly.
I think it’s fair to mention there are no ponies here now but our daughter was ok with that as she’d made a friend and was having a nice time. She also really enjoyed seeing Walter the golden retriever around the campsite. He was very friendly, fluffy and liked a good pet.
Our only feedback would be that a freezer would be useful to freeze your ice blocks (save pestering Sue and Kev).
We would definitely return, it’s been a lovely week. Thank you.

Majority of equipment was very old and could do with replacing.
Bell tent
Liked Moved us to a better tent after highlighting not happy with first bell tents due to poor cleanliness when arrived.
Owner did call afterwards and tried to explain (1hr later).
Some views were great
Disliked Bell tent had doors left open where many insects entered (earwigs/spiders/flys) when we arrived, tent had mould on canopy as well as old dirty tissues inside, our daughter didn’t want to stay and felt uncomfortable as did us.
After calling owners we were informed that there was music lessons occurring where students seemed to be more important, therefore significant delay in swapping tents. We understand that other things do occur however if you are running a business then I would expect paying customers would take a priority which didn’t occur on this occasion.
Small ovens provided in horse box very old which we didn’t touch. Toilets not level
Partial views of old rusty sheds on a working farm.
We stayed at a different location on way down that was significantly cheaper and much better equipped in Padstow than this location here.
Overall disappointing!

From the manager: The day before this review we got a 10/ 10 for the same tent and accommodation . ?
The tent had been hoovered and the ground sheet washed . All rugs get taken out and cleaned too .
The doors were open to welcome the guests as it was so hot and to look welcoming . Other neighbouring campers were commenting on how beautiful the rent was and have booked a stay in it !
You get insects and bugs in a field !
This is a working farm and you get your name on a chalk board outside your tent so that you can settle in . I checked the tent and there was a tissue on the grass outside the door . Someone must have dropped it when passing ! I picked it up , problem solved.
I am a music teacher and on some days I have students during the day .
Kevin is a farmer and can’t always appear at the drop of a hat . We live here and there is always someone around to help as soon as we can .
Storm Daragh blew the roof off our lambing shed last winter . It is in the distance from the camp site and has no bearing whatsoever on the view accross the rolling hills ! It’s over to one side .
The loos and showers are clean and tidy with lashings of hot water .
The camping stoves are carefully cleaned each time . They do get a bit scruffy as they are in the elements but we do replace them when needed .
These people were very rude and this review does not reflect the accommodation at all.
We did try to see them and did ask other campers if they were around and seemed ok ? In the end I just called them as they were not around .
They stayed and said that the tent was all good and that they were happy . They then typed the above .
I have reduced the prices considerably this season as times are hard for everyone .
This review is damaging , unrealistic and unkind .
We have to work several Jobs to make ends meet and this is a working farm with pretty bell tents in the Cornish country side not a hotel in a resort.
Lovely little hidden gem of a working farm, will be staying again!
Bell tent
Liked Lovely working farm in north Cornwall, quite easy to find with satnav. Sue and Kevin came round and welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed for a lovely stay. We had our two little dogs with us and there was plenty of space in the bell tent for the 4 of us! Lovely double/queen sized bed as well as a futon for more seating/sleeping area. Sue had chairs set up around the fire pit which we thought was a lovely little touch when we pulled up. Our tent overlooked the sheep which our pups loved and it was nice and relaxing to watch them graze whilst enjoying some bbq at the picnic bench.
The showers, whilst a bit small, were lovely! Nice and clean and water temperatures were lovely and warm/ hot. There was a washing up area to the side of the toilet/shower blocks and these were stocked with washing up liquid which is great as I tend to forget to pack that!
If staying in the bell tents be mindful there are no electrics but there are fairy lights inside the tents and they do provide you with a cool box which is a nice touch.
There are fully stocked camping kitchens in the horse boxes in the centre of the bell tent area, these have stoves, kettles, cutting boards, as well as cups, plates, cutlery, and even a corkscrew so you can open your wine to enjoy by the campfire!
When you book in Sue and Kev send out an email with everything you need to know about the site such as locating the camping areas and they also sell home made and fresh meats, bread, and eggs which we didn’t purchase but thought was a lovely touch!
Disliked The road leading into the farm is very bumpy so I’d advise going under 10mph if you’d like to keep tyres intact.
Again, it’s a working farm so no complaints here! 😊

nice location, not alot else going for it.
Powered grass tent or campervan site
Liked Nice quiet location
Disliked wasn't clear where to pitch our tent, hardly any animals you could see or pony rides offered as ad says. We got shouted at by farmer Kev at nearly 11pm after he didnt get his facts straight and came accusing us of being in the sheep field at night and chasing the sheep ( whose going through fields in darkness?!) after his wife (sue) had told us earlier in the day we could go in that field as the sheep were tame and we went in there alot earlier but couldn't go near sheep as they ran away from us. At one point we were told "if you go near them again, you'll be asked to pack your stuff and leave!" This ruined our break and we left the next day - a day early with no apology from sue or Kevin (although the family next to us got an apology for getting shouted at when they thought they had been in the field) an appalling way to treat paying guests! ok facilities but we will not be returning!

From the manager: This was a dreadful situation . It certainly wasn’t 11pm . We were just about to eat a very late supper at 9.30 and we received a text from another camper asking us to come up as a group of children were worrying the sheep really badly and chasing them round the field . ! We dashed up as this behaviour is totally unacceptable and cruel .
I did say that they could walk in to look at the sheep . Their behaviour means that no one else will be allowed in the field with them again .
This is just common sense they were not small young children and should have known better .
Kevin was livid .
I am sorry that they thought there were pony rides .
They didn’t mention that to me during their stay .
Sadly the ponies have both died of old age and we haven’t done this for several years.
The children also dragged branches of wood into the pitches and just left them there for other people to run over in their cars.
We were quite glad that they left early although there was no need . I had a polite conversation with
The Mum the next morning and there was no pressure to leave.
