A quiet, rural spot with friendly owners. Basic camping in a scenic, peaceful location perfect for walks. Clean, adequate facilities (one toilet/shower noted). Narrow approach roads. Handy pub and close to Canterbury.

One of the nicest places I have ever camped!
Unpowered grass site
Liked This was a beautiful spot, and I loved the fact that there weren't lots of noisy people around.
Disliked On our last night there, there were nine people and only one shower; another shower would have been good.

Liked This was a great campsite for us. Lots of wildlife - sparrows, starlings, owls hooting at night. It was small and clean, met our needs and was in a lovely area.

Excellent spot to stay when travelling from Dover, highly recommend.

Liked Booking process, flexibility, location (a few minutes of grid but well worth a visit very very close to Dover & gastro pub :) The Duck), owner - great reception (even offered use of freezer).

All in all a lovely spot
Unpowered grass site
Liked A lovely peaceful spot. Owls hooting a night. Stayed from Friday to weds in a small campervan. Needed ramps as ground is slightly sloping but it’s well drained. There’s a lean to with sink in field with cold tap and little shower room with a toilet across the lane. Few cars use this lane. This was nice a spacious. But could do with a new shower head, tho the shower is nice with plenty of hot water. It’s on a working farm. So expect farm noises. This isn’t intrusive.
The Duck pub just over the hedge was nice and we ate there one night for a treat. A little pricey.
The red lion pub in Bridge was really nice and I thoroughly recommend. Cycled into Canterbury was quite straightforward. Tho some road, they were relatively quiet. And lots of lane cycling. I really liked it here.
Disliked The porta loo. As others have commented wasn’t the best and I personally couldn’t sit on it.
When it got busy having only one shower and toilet together you often had to wait to use the toilet. Not always a problem as people came and went quite quickly. There are 6 pitches or so but sometimes there maybe 6 people in a group. So it may or can be a problem.

Back to basics good old camping…
Unpowered grass site
Liked Back to basics good old camping loved it😎
Only one toilet, shower/washroom. But being a very small site. it was more than adequate. And it was clean and well maintained. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the area very scenic( well it would be as in the garden of England)
Take it easy on the approaching roads. Very narrow and often occupied by farm machinery and lorry's along with the odd car or 2.
Disliked None
