Looking for something exciting to do with the kids for the weekend? Something that won’t break the bank and gets you out into the fresh air? Book a family holiday at Vicarage Park Farm, 20 minutes’ drive from Winchester in Hampshire, and get stuck into occasional live-music festivals for lots of fun at budget prices. Events are held throughout the school holidays and once you’ve booked your pitch, everything on site is free. Of course, there’s no pressure to join in with the action, so you can be as social or private as you wish. The site itself is a massive, level grass field with no-frills facilities encompassing showers and portable toilets. There are no food stalls or vendors, so bring everything you need from home, including firepits and barbecues for alfresco feasting. These events are popular, but they have a laidback and friendly vibe that welcomes kids. There’s no need to leave your family pet behind either; they are welcome and can be exercised on walks around the farm.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked: The people here are extremely helpful and welcoming! We had a great evening that we wasn't expecting to have. We were invited around the campfires as everybody got together to chat. There was no pressure, some decided to stay and be on their own also. My 5 year old played with all the other children, me and my wife were invited in and everybody was very friendly. The team at there are just lovely people that we enjoyed spending our evening with.

The site itself was beautiful, plenty of space and trees around to give that all around great camping feel.
