  • Peaceful pitches on a working farm just outside Stalmine
  • A 20-minute drive from Blackpool and half an hour from Lancaster
  • Dogs welcome on site; local pub 10 minutes' walk away
It’s all about peaceful times at Pointer Farm Campsite, a spacious site on a working farm in the Lancashire countryside just outside the village of Stalmine. This is a place to pitch up (with dog in tow if you’ve got one) for great rural rambles followed by evenings spent sipping real ale or dining on tasty meals at a country pub. It’ll take you 10 minutes or so to wander down to the local hostelry, but if you don’t fancy venturing that far you’re welcome to light up a barbecue for open-air dinners on site instead. Being out in a proper rural location means plenty of space and quiet around this site – but this site isn’t quite as remote as its surroundings might suggest. A 15-minute drive gets you from the farm to Poulton-le-Fylde and it’s only a little further to the bright lights of Blackpool (about a 20-minute drive in total). The bus stop in the village means there’s also the option to get down to the coast using public transport if you’d rather leave the car behind. Back at the farm, facilities are simple but well kept: the smart modern facilities block has unisex toilets and showers along with a washing-up area, and there’s also free wifi so you can keep in contact with the wider world.

What customers say

Great spot on a working farm – clean, warm facilities, spacious pitches (often with water/electric). Good base for exploring Lancashire, close to Blackpool. Owners are helpful. Just be aware of unisex facilities & occasional grass/gravel issues. Many plan to return.

Liked The quiet site
The level pitches (we were hard standing electric)
The security
The cleanliness of the facilities

Disliked The showers - would benefit from having a seat/shelf to put things on.
The logs provided which were too big to burn effectively and we had to cut them down

Liked A great little site. I liked how small the site was with not too many pitches. Pitch sizes was good so you wasn’t on top of other tents. Lots of space to play games and kids to run around. The toilet and showers were always kept clean, it didn’t bother us that they were unisex either. Ideal location to catch a bus into Blackpool, not too far of a drive to Fleetwood either. A lovely friendly pub just 15mins walk from the site too. I do have one suggestion it’s not a negative just if your washing up you may want a step if you are a little short in the height department as the sinks are very deep and I struggled to wash up, least it got me out of doing it again. A great and friendly site we will definitely book again.

Liked Gorgeous site, very peaceful! 3 showers and 5 toilets always very clean. 7 tents in our field leaving lots of room for the children to play safely. It's exactly what we wanted....old fashioned traditional camping, with free Wifi! Perfect!

Liked Beautifully peaceful site. Really small which suited us perfectly.
Toilet block was lovely
Covered washing up area was useful in the drizzle
Lovely to be on the farm with all the associated noise from the animals
Close to explore lots of the sights of Lancashire

Disliked Not much but if I was pushed - it would be to upgrade the hand dryers
