What customers say
This little, quiet woodland campsite is a ripper for its cleanliness, super friendly staff, and stunning natural setting. Travellers loved the walks, even to a local waterfall, and reckoned the facilities were top-notch. Friday pizza nights were a highlight, creating a great vibe. A few mentioned the narrow access road and the odd glitch with toilet codes. All in all, a peaceful, tidy spot perfect for nature buffs.

Liked Lovely campsite that is like being in the woods with all big trees around you.
Very clean and everything you could want.
Close to 2 small pubs but very nice one 20 mins walk. Free fire pits. A nice cosy site.
Disliked They allow group bookings which we found annoying with music and screeching till very late but to be fair owners were contactable straight away and dealt with problem guests straight away. Couldn't fault them.

Amazing beautiful spot.
Unpowered concrete slab campervan or trailer tent site (large)
Liked Amazing little spot. In woodland with beautiful views. Clean facilities including toilets, shower and a kitchen with kettle, microwave and toaster. Close to a lovely little town with multiple pubs and eateries. Close to links to Manchester by road and a bus route direct to the city. I would definitely use this spot in the future when in the area. Also a waterfall short walk though the woods. Excellent phone signal due to 5g mast in the town.

Liked Beautiful setting lovely and quiet. Address is not Micheal Wife Lane as we found out and had to back an 8ft van down an unbelievable narrow driveway. Please change your address.
Disliked The wrong address

Overall we had a great time and the campsite is absolutely beautiful!
Unpowered forest floor tent site (large)
Liked The facilities were excellent, the toilet/shower/kitchen block was clean and well maintained and the fact that dish cleaning stuff and hand towels/tea towels were provided was amazing. The pitches are a great size and we had plenty of room to pitch our tent and set up our gear. The surroundings were just beautiful and the walk down to the waterfall was fab, the dog thoroughly enjoyed it! The whole trip was a blast and we’d definitely visit again.
Disliked Other guests not closing the site gates, and the door to the toilet block being left open and lights left on was annoying! But I get that not everyone follows the rules and that’s not the fault of the owners as the signs are all there… some people are just lazy and inconsiderate. We were a little frustrated at initially being told we had to buy our firewood from the campsite, only to be told on the day of arrival that their wood was still drying so we had to buy our own. Which we were happy to do, but a bit more notice would have been appreciated.

From the manager: Thank you for your review! Lovely to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us 😊
It is frustrating that people don't close the gates/doors and switch lights off (we feel the same frustration! 🤣) Apologies about the wood, we have struggled to get ours dry in time for the season - the joys of the British winters!
Hopefully see you again soon!

A nice, quiet site for a 1 or 2 night stay with family.
Unpowered forest floor tent site (large)
Liked Secluded site, yet close to the shops, pubs and restaurants. Flat pitches. Fire pit provided. Quiet. Shelter/den with wooden log seats and fire pit for when it's raining. Shower and toilet block was clean. Hand soap and toilet roll provided. Fridge, kettle and toaster available. Flexible check-in time. Close to Edenfield waterfall which is definitely worth a visit.
Disliked Be aware that there is a man-made bee hive very close to the tent pitches that attracts a lot of bees and wasps.
