What customers say
This cosy, peaceful farm campsite has brilliant views & a super friendly owner. Clean facilities, great pods. A few stray cats, but most reckon it’s a ripper and they'll be back. Top spot for hitting the Western Lakes.

Great short stay site
Powered gravel motorhome site
Liked Stunning location which was quiet. As a small site it had everything needed and enough space for camper vans.
The children had plenty to play with in the shed and play house and were occupied for hours.
Cathryn was lovely and welcoming and the snores packs on the honesty shed were an excellent addition

Very charming and rural site to stay for the night with great views!
Powered gravel campervan site
Liked Easy access, on a working farm. Surrounded by farm animals which we loved. Very sweet campsite. Shower and toilets were adequate. Hosts were lovely and recommended loads of lovely places nearby. Thank you! Lots of consumables available, washing up liquid, hairdryer, shampoo, towels if you need them.
Disliked Slightly difficult to manoeuvre Campervan on the site, but we managed.

Stunning views of the lumpy bits…
Powered gravel motorhome site
Liked Stunning views of the lumpy bits around Skafell. Clean, well maintained loos and showers. The owner was regularly on hand to speak to, and offered good local advice. Close to the mountains, the sea and and the narrow gauge train. Some of the pitches are a little snug, bigger vans may struggle.

From the manager: We are ideally placed to bag a wainwright or two, close to Gosforth village and have wuiet sandy beaches close by. Our XL pitch is ideal for long wheel base vans with two other pitches for regular motorhome sizes. With another two for campervan sized vehicles. Thank you for leaving a review

From the manager: Sorry about the hen in the showerblock, we had just aqyured some new ones and this one had escaped abd thought the showerblock was its new home. Luckily I found it next day and it has accepted its new home now. Thank you for leaving a review looking forward to welcoming you back
Lovely weekend away with the grandkids on a working farm site .
Gypsy caravan
Liked Cathryn the owner was very friendly and helpful. Good facilities, the children loved the outdoor kitchen and toys , they also really enjoyed the farm tour Cathryn kindly took them on . We liked the fact it’s a small site . Lovely views . We are cat people so we enjoyed seeing them running around the farm but they weren’t intrusive if you’re not a cat person.

From the manager: Thank you for leaving a review. It was a pleasure to see the children enjoying themselves playing with the toys and games in the play hut as well as using the outdoor kids kitchen. They akso seemed to enjoy the farmyard tour seeing calves and some lambs. Thanks for leaving a suggestion of how to improve things inside Rosella.
A lovely warm welcome from Cathryn…
Owl Hoot camping pod
Liked A lovely warm welcome from Cathryn ( the owner) upon our arrival.
She showed us to owl hoot ( our pod) which was well equipped with fresh towels, bedding and a whole aray of cooking gear you could possibly want, right down to microwaveable bed warmers ( not that these were needed because it was lovely and warm).
Toaster, kettle, microwave, air fryer, slow cooker and toastie maker were all available within along with a fridge and umbrellas.
The shared facilities were clean and the shower was piping hot.
The site has a small shed shop which has jam, eggs and smores kits and disposable bbq's. Honesty box payment.
The pod decking/ patio looks straight at Skyfel Pike which is just beautiful with the sunset or low lying cloud upon it. You can even see the 3 peaks challenge people coming back down via head lights late in the evening.
We loved our 2 night stay so much we booked another night. We will definitely be back.
