What customers say
Great for a chill getaway! Friendly staff, clean loos, and epic views near Windermere. Some boggy bits after rain, but good value and spacious sites make it a winner for a cruisy break.

Liked The staff were very friendly and came over for a chat after we set up
Disliked The campsite was on a little bit of an incline where we were pitched

Quiet site, nice cleaning facilities. Spacious pitches
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked The location was lovely, the staff I spoke to was very friendly and informative. Showers were warm and clean. We able to pitch where we pleased as there was plenty of space. Everyone was respectful and noise at night was not a problem.
Disliked The road to get onto the campsite was very narrow, luckily I didn’t get caught with a car coming the other way but I could see it being difficult if that was the case.

Liked Basic but perfectly formed. Toilets immaculate (I’ve got very high standards for these things 🤣), showers great and sinks clean. Views stunning and really friendly staff- even brought up ice lollies for a very hot weekend! Don’t panic about field on slope reviews- there’s a couple of pitches that would be on a slope if you chose there but there’s plenty room to not have to be!!
Disliked Nothing!!

Overall, definitely would book again.
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked The campsite was spacious and had portaloos with disinfectant, an outdoor double sink with dish soap, and two showers.
Very friendly and welcoming owners.
Disliked Of the two showers, one was ice cold and the other super hot. Likely due to the amount of people using the showers at the time.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a lovely review! We're really glad you enjoyed your stay.
Apologies that one of our showers was cold, we hadn't spotted that one of our batteries (which triggers the gas ignition in the shower unit) had run out. This is now fixed and both showers are back up and running as normal.
Thanks again!
