What customers say
A peaceful, well-kept, secure adult-only spot. Staff, especially Dawn & Col, are brilliant & helpful. Spacious, level pitches with ace, clean facilities. Fishing's a big hit with great lakes. Minor notes on goose poo & gate access. Most folks love it & plan to come back.

Disappointed
Fully-serviced concrete and grass caravan site
Liked The piece and quiet, visited quiet a few times.
Disliked That the Bar and Food was not available or open all weekend, this should have been noted on the booking as it is not that easy to go and get a take away in a Motorhome. I understand that improvements have to happen, and no beer was delivered, but you sell more than beer.

Highly recommended peaceful site
Stables 1 bedroom cottage / chalet / bungalow (hot tub, no pets)
Liked Excellent safe , secure site . Really well organised and fabulous, friendly staff who were available at all times if needed for anything. Stayed in the stables cottage which was very well equipped and had everything you needed (apart from a corkscrew for my wine but that was soon sorted … panic over 🤣) Star of the show was the hot tub which was fantastic and made good use of it . Brilliant 2 days
Disliked Nothing that we disliked.

Great place to stay and friendly staff.
Fully-serviced concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Very friendly and helpful staff, electric has tripped about 2130 , but nothing was to much bother for them to come sort it out. They even gave me a spare fuse, for the plug in consumer box of theirs, so if it went then I could do it myself instead of waking them up ,but luckily it was fine.
Food was expertly done by dawn, great choice and quantity was lots of it.

Clean showers and toilets, peaceful and adults-only site
Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked The shower and toilet facilities were kept very clean and bright, which made for a pleasant stay. It would be an added bonus if the ladie's bathroom had plug socket and perhaps a hairdryer, but otherwise the facilities were in good order.
Disliked The geese do leave the grass rather messy, and there were quite a few little insects about which did bite.
The caravans and pitches felt a bit close together, so it could be busy and occasionally noisy.
The new gate system didn’t work with my phone, and though the team were aware it wasn’t resolved, so I had to go via reception.
Overall, I missed a little of the warmth and attentiveness I’ve found at other sites, which was a shame as the place has real potential.

Friendly staff, super clean and lots of space.
Fully-serviced concrete and grass caravan site
Liked The staff were amazing. Super friendly and accommodating. I couldn’t fault them at all. It was nice to see them always around in case you had any issues (which we didn’t). We were pitched along the back edge of the site facing the lake. It was really peaceful and great to just sit and chill out. The bar was really nice and there was lots of space to walk the dog. The toilets and showers were super clean with good water pressure and temperature. The shower cubicles were spacious and there was plenty of hooks for your stuff. All in all a great relaxing stay.
Disliked Gates were a bit of a faff.
