What customers say
A peaceful, spacious site with level pitches surrounding a big central play area. Facilities are clean, with handy vending machines. The owner, Liz, is super helpful. Limited showers and some wind were noted, but it’s great value and a good base for exploring.

Ok for a hiking adult group/couple maybe not great for me and my 8yo
Oak bell tent (two person)
Liked The vending machines are very handy and the site allows fire pits too
Very helpful owners
Close to Egton which was needed for the show
Disliked The site is on a farm. Machinery is loud on a morning (7am) especially when feeding
Sheep surrounding the site are loud all through the night so sleep was interrupted
Only one shower per block (male and female) so queueing on a morning (8 am onwards)

Second visit here and they’ve since…
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Second visit here and they’ve since added more showers, toilets, fridges and the vending machines which are a lovely addition.. plenty of options in the vendors and the kids enjoyed them and the milkshakes the most.
Spacious pitches, in a quiet area but excellent base to lots of places by car. We had something to do everyday and we travelled 30 mins maximum. Toilets and showers cleaned daily - more showers would be advantageous but I never had to wait or anything when I was there.
Liked the pitches being around the edge as it meant the kids had plenty of room to run around and play on without bothering anyone else.

Great simple campsite in a beautiful location
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked We loved this quiet campsite. The pitches were spacious, loads of room to be private and not be pitched too close to neighbours which made for a peaceful trip. We liked that the pitches were all around the edge of the field so there was plenty of space for the children to play. Great flat pitch with beautiful views. The facilities were just what was needed for a simple camping trip, the fridge and freezer for keeping ice packs and food, toilets and showers really clean and well stocked.
Children loved the vending machine for milkshakes, nice to be able to buy fresh eggs there and the local honey looked good too!
Liz was very helpful if anything was needed.
The location was ideal for us as we wanted to visit a few coastal locations as well as some of the nice villages round and about and NYMR, everywhere we went was within a 15-20 minute drive so it was a great base. We enjoyed it so much we contemplated booking an extra night or two but had to get back home unfortunately. Will definitely stay here again.
Disliked Having to leave!
