Liked The pitches are pretty level and lots of space for awnings etc.
Toilet/Shower block was very clean and plentiful.
Strensall Common is 40 minutes walk away and open to the public.
Disliked The site had no character, just felt like an open field, with a shower block.
A small amount of cattle grid and road noise close by.
Basic site for the money compared to others, and lots of notices up asking you to book direct and use cash, we found the site on “pitch up” and wouldn’t have found it advertised otherwise.
Check that the clubhouse is open, because if you want to relax with a pint or two, you may have to visit the local village of Strensall, which is approximately 10 minutes Uber ride and 4 miles away.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we note your comments, we are sorry that we did not meet with your expectations on this occasion. As its shoulder season the bar does have restricted opening hours, but is open on a Friday and Saturday.
Excellent adults site to recharge the batteries

Liked Quiet site - beautiful location. The staff on site were helpful, knowledgeable and very welcoming. We enjoyed a pint or two in the bar and a nice walk around the locality.
It was nice to see that the menu at the pizza van had been extended and there was more variety which included jacket potatoes and burgers.
This is our 10th or 11th visit and it is just perfect to getaway and to recharge your batteries. Thanks again.

Liked Wow! What a site this was, when booking in a site you never know what you’ll face or get but this is top trumps when it comes to sites.
This site was spotless and Mark who met us was super friendly and showed us where our pitch was which was a nice touch. Shower and toilet blocks were fantastic and again super clean.
Even had their very own pizza van where we enjoyed a couple of pizzas with a beer from the on site pub.
Disliked Absolutely nothing at all
