‘The truck in the trees’ is the name given to the glamping unit at Hill Farm – and it’s a descriptive name indeed, because here at this secluded Suffolk farm you'll be staying in a cosy converted truck that’s tucked away among towering trees with some lovely views over the surrounding grassy meadows and the banks of the Fynn river.
You’ll get some great rural views from the truck – either through the windows or when sitting at the outdoor table, but no doubt you’ll want to take a closer look before long. That’s the time to head down to the gate at the bottom of the woods, which leads through an orchard into a 25-acre private nature reserve. At its heart is a gorgeous five-acre mere that's a real wildlife haven – take a stroll to see what you can see, or settle in the bird hide to spot kingfishers and other birds.
Getting out to see even more is simple too, as the gate also gives access to the Fynn Valley walk, leading to a network of footpaths to local villages and pubs.
Back at the truck, you’ll be staying in a well-designed space with a kitchenette, a dining area, a sofa and a woodburning stove as well as a kingsize bed over the cab. There’s no mains power here but you'll have lighting and USB sockets to charge your gadgets, and you can cook on the firepit outside. Pick up supplies in Woodbridge (10 minutes' drive) or one of the farm shops within a short drive.
Next to the truck is a separate bathroom trailer with a compost toilet, sink, shower and bath (with towels provided).

- No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
- Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the campground/park are unlit.
- Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
- Swimming in the lake is not allowed.
- Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
