What customers say
Spacious, well-located site with friendly staff. Kids love the playground and farm. Facilities are basic but clean. Campfires and easy London access are a bonus. Some found limited showers/sinks a hassle when busy. Good value.

Unpowered grass tent, campervan or trailer tent site
Liked Visited with my 2 kids 1 & 3, great open space for them to run around and very little car movement around the field.
I’m not sure there was much free stuff to do onsite for the kids so you would have to go off site.
There is an airfield 5 minutes down the road that has a little cafe where you can sit and watch the plane move and take off.
It’s about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the farm which we visited everyday and they sell local produce, I was tempted to get some but had no where to store it.
There is a lake you can walk around but we didn’t managed to do it.
Toilets are not as bad as people make out, they were cleaned regularly but not sure they were emptied during out stay.

Liked The location was nice
Disliked Very loud, people shouting and playing music past 10pm. Had to call security got so loud, would expect them to be more on it.
Additional charge for firepit is unnecessary. Acceptable for wood, but no where else charges you for the ‘right’ to have a fire.
Toilet facilities are portaloos which are not clean.

have been so excited to write…
Unpowered grass tent, campervan or trailer tent site
Liked have been so excited to write this review and give the campsite and staff the incredible praise it and they deserve!
My wife and I arrived on Friday morning after travelling down from Manchester. We had originally booked a two night stay as we were attending the Coldplay concert on Friday. Upon arrival, staff were super polite, friendly and smiley! We pitched our tent and made ourselves comfortable. We then headed to the concert, had a fabulous evening and returned to the site afterwards and headed to bed.
On Saturday we decided a chilled day was in order, so we headed to the cafe on site for some breakfast. Delicious food, friendly staff and a beautiful outdoor seating area. In the afternoon, we headed off site to “The Lost Jungle” which was a really cool outdoor crazy golf course. It was about a ten minute drive away from the site and really reasonably priced. We sat outside our tent on Saturday evening and watched families play football, rounders and relax by their campfires. The atmosphere on the site was lovely, and although it was quite busy, everyone was very respectful and most people headed inside for 10pm.
On Sunday when we woke up, we were not ready to leave! We spoke to a staff member and luckily, they were able to squeeze us in for another night! We were so grateful as it was bank holiday Sunday and the site was still quite busy. We purchased firewood and made a fire and once again, spent a lovely evening relaxing and cooking.
We had beautiful views of the sunset and sunrise each evening and morning. The surrounding walks are beautiful and there is so much to do around the park.
As two thirty something year olds, we didn’t feel out of place playing football, bat and ball and badminton every evening! Every person we spoke to was friendly and welcoming.
Do not be put off by the portloo toilets - the staff are fantastic and were at the toilets every hour replenishing toilet paper and cleaning up. The showers were hot and powerful and more than fine for a few nights stay.
We are seasoned campers and have been to so many different places and sites, but this one really was something special. The atmosphere every single day was so lovely and we got very lucky with the bank holiday sunshine! We would recommend this site to anyone! Perfect for couples, families and even larger groups. We will one million percent be back! Thank you!

Overall a nice campsite. Amenities are functional and basic.
Unpowered grass tent, campervan or trailer tent site
Liked Hot showers and clean toilets.
The site was not too busy. I felt safe as a solo female traveler.
Was greeted by a lovely young man called Zak who was very helpful.
The walk around the lake is really beautiful and the delightful 100 Aker Winnie the Pooh wood is a quaint little area to explore.
I didn’t research the area before I arrived and would liked to have had more information on nearby local walks and trails.
Disliked £3 for a 500ml bottle of Diet Coke at the kiosk was expensive.
The camping fields are quite exposed with only a few trees for shade so choose your pitch wisely if it’s really sunny.

From the manager: Thank you for leaving a review and for your positive comments. I will make sure to pass your this on to Zak.
I am glad you enjoyed enjoyed your stay with us and her extras we have onsite.
The Kiosk is run separately from us so unfortunately we cannot control the prices they charge.
We have recently had to close our Avenues field for health and safety reason which his where all of our shaded areas are, we are currently working on this for next year to see if we can re-open it.
We hope to see you book again with us in the future.
Bad facilities for any non-families but perfect for families with <8s.
Unpowered grass tent, campervan or trailer tent site
Liked The staff were phenomenal, friendly, and willing to go above and beyond to help you out!!!
Disliked The facilities are very family-oriented with both the playpark, mini mini-golf and mini quad bikes all being better suited to children. There is also a Winnie the Pooh walk, which is suitable for older individuals as a nice shaded walk, if you didn't want to go around the unshaded reservoir, so this is aimed at children but appeals to all ages.
The cafe was very small and lacked any air conditioning, causing it to be hotter inside than just being outside. This, alongside their closure on Tuesdays and short operating hours, with hot food ending even earlier each day.
Finally, the farm was quite expensive to enter, so I cannot comment on it as we found the price to be much too high.
