Μου άρεσε: Private, level pitches with easy access to water and electricity. Quiet family friendly sight and great location. Lovely clean facilities though in August you often need to queue at peak times. Food vans available most days ( except Sunday ) are a good option .

Δεν μου άρεσε: Visited mid august so to be expected I guess but pool was packed with seemingly unsupervised ( by parents) unruly kids when we tried to use it .
And not a dislike as it avoids campers being disturbed too early with car sounds but gates are locked until 8 am so if you are there for surf and want to do a dawn surf check make sure you leave your car in the car park overnight!

Μου άρεσε: Staff at reception were very welcoming. The site was really pleasant with people from all over Europe. Facilities were clean. The food vans on site had good options for vegetarians. There is plenty of activities including karaoke if that’s your thing. The beach was nearby, 20 minute walk, very clean and not overcrowded - water was too cold for us. I would really recommend this site.

Δεν μου άρεσε: Would have preferred a slightly bigger pitch as we had 2 cars but managed with our roof box tent and large tent.

Μου άρεσε: Lovely location, short distance from an amazing beach. Private pitches. Pizza food truck was amazing ,my 11 year old said it was the best he’d ever tasted .

Μου άρεσε: We liked everything! It’s a truly awesome campsite. Kids loved the pool, pitches are generous, flat and private. Facilities clean and plentiful. Fresh bread and croissants every morning. Food vans or food from the bar available every night. 30-min stroll to a great surfing beach. We’re booking again next year.

Thank you for sharing you experience at camping de la Torche. We are happy to see that you enjoyed your vacation, your pitch, the clean toilets and showers, the communal bbq area, the kids trampoline and the eco ethos.
This year, we have installed a new game on the playground. We also planted vegetation but it didn't grow. We will try to make this space more welcoming. In august, we have a lot of people on the campsite and a lot of families with children enjoying the pool. In the morning and in the end of the day, there is less people in the swimming pool.

Μου άρεσε: The beach (a 20 minute walk away) is magnificent. The staff were friendly. Was nice to have the option of visiting food trucks and evening entertainment.

Δεν μου άρεσε: We were really unlucky with the weather and this site is in the middle of nowhere. The walk to the beach was just a bit too far. The showers were unreliable.

Thank you for sharing your experience at our campsite ! It is sad that we can't personnalize the answer as the review is anonymous. The wifi is limited on the campsite so you can enjoy the different activites around. If you need some ideas, don't hesitate to come at the reception ! Luckily, we have a covered and heated swimming pool during bad weather. We will ordered some sun for your next time at la Torche :)

Μου άρεσε: The relaxed and chilled surf vibe
The friendly, English speaking staff and Flora, the lovely owner, who works tirelessly
The large indoor heated pool
The generous open, level pitches
All the little extras like the dog-washing shower and wet suit rinsing and hanging area
Toilets/showers cleaned a few times a day
Ordering fresh bread and croissants at reception ready for breakfast the next day
The French fries sold in the snack bar were the best ever!
The two beautiful powdery soft beaches which were around 15 min cycle away on flat quiet lanes, great for surfing in the right conditions
Every night they put on some entertainment, even karaoke which was great fun!

Δεν μου άρεσε: Not a dislike just an observation about the bar/snack bar as it looks a little tired. It would be great if they could tie in the chilled beach/surf vibe to make it more of a “surf shack” with some driftwood/beach themed furniture/decor.

Μου άρεσε: A beautiful site. It was so lush and organic when we visited in July. Obviously loved by it's owners. I loved the atmosphere on site, very relaxed and the other visitors on site were very friendly and peaceful.
Great location. Lovely walk from the campsite down to La Torche - more like 30mins than 15mins - but the walk is so nice, it does not matter. It was sheltered by trees and hedging from the sea breeze.

My children loved the swimming pool and trampoline and there was a great field for playing ball games. There was enough for kids to do on site, snd what was offered was tasteful. The musical entertainment was excellent - a real band playing lovely latino music - great after a day on the beach. Ice packs could be refrozen as reception - 1 euro each exchange, so not a huge cost.

Sanitary blocks were cleaned regularly and lovely warm showers. 7 minute timer was the perfect length for a nice shower. Dog shower and wet suit rinsing area a great idea. Great bar and snack bar. I liked the visiting catering vans! Good supermarket 5 min drive away in Plomeur.

Δεν μου άρεσε: Queueing for showers. Avoid showered between 6pm snd 8pm because there was a queue. Luckily we are English, so we tended to arrive back from surfing a little earlier than the French (4-5pm), so could squeeze in before the rush! This problem was solved later in the week when the owners opened the second sanitary block.

Pigeons on site, so careful where you pitch you tent. Look for poop on the floor before pitching. My daughter pitched her tent under a pigeon toilet spot! Pitch sizes were good and enough room for a car, family tent, small tent snd outdoor eating area. But not excellent because there was no spare space and we had to plan our arrangement well. The lush vegetation stopped the site feeling crowded, despite it being a busy site.
