Troutbeck Head Experience Freedom Glamping

Positiv Troutbeck was a fantastic spot for our week in the Lake District. It was like a wee haven away from the busy-ness of the towns/ villages. The site itself was absolutely Immaculate as well as the facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was stunning, had everything we needed for the week. Would 100% recommend to friends and family and already hoping to come back.

Negativ Only drawback as people have said was WiFi but we quite liked being off grid. Would've been a nice bonus to have been able to use netflix on TV for our toddler for a wee movie night but we made do.

Positiv Peace and tranquility… cleanliness of the lodge and the site.. friendliness of the staff.. chippy van mon/Fri.. the lodge it’s self had all the amenities needed.. perfect break.. based near all the areas we wanted to wanted to visit..

Positiv We really enjoyed our cabin stay! The kids loved the mezzanine area and we appreciated the little quirky features that added to the charm. It was a great place for a family break and we'd definitely consider staying here again.

Positiv Gorgeous pod with everything you need the only downside was we needed more pillows but it was fully functional for us as a family of 4. Very clean, staff were friendly and helpful

Negativ There’s not a lot on the site for the children and my daughter had brought her football however there are no ball games allowed anywhere which was a shame. The children went down to the games room but there wasn’t much in there for them to keep them entertained.

Positiv The units are very clean and well-built. The location is very quiet and right next to an activity centre.

Negativ No wifi and phone signal is non-existent (we have various phone providers including Libara but no joy). The TV couldn’t connect to the internet so we could not watch movies at night after a day of hiking. We resorted to watching regular TV but each time someone goes out, the TV connection/wires get loose and the display gets dodgy.

I also couldn’t understand why very young children like a one-year-old will need to be counted in when other accommodations don’t count them.

Positiv Lovely quiet site in peaceful location. Dog walks straight from site great and spectacular views of Blencathra from 'Harry's Bench'. Pod was very clean and comfortable with all you need for short stay. Lovely terrace with a gate meant dog enclosed at all times which was great.

Negativ Wifi was a little poor at times. Seemed to work better outside the pod.

Positiv Cabin was wonderful! Well said out, immaculately clean… everything that we needed for 2 adults and 2 children.
Games room & park on site were fab. Some elements of the park were a bit big for our nearly 3 year old, but he made do!

Negativ A wee pub would be good on site, but we can’t have it all!!

Positiv Lovley clean site, we stayed in a glamping cabin great facilities everything you could need the bed over the dinner area was so comfy! The site it's self nice and quiet.
The games room with TV/ pool table was a bonus with having having older teens/young adult. Staff friendly and easy fast check in.

Negativ Our only thing that let the cabin down was not been able to log into smart TV as Internet didn't work with TV brand in cabin.
You can hot-spot it from your phone tho if your date allows.
