Great location for hiking, cycling, angling, climbing and Nordic walks

Retreat to this rural ranch in a national park 20 minutes’ drive from buzzy Benidorm. At Pondarosa Ranch, you’ll be in for a rosy time, thanks to the gorgeous mountain views, rural setup and excellent walking, hiking, cycling, climbing, angling and four-wheel driving on its doorstep… Yes, outdoorsy types will find much to do around Pondarosa Ranch, with plenty of chances to refuel at the bar or a rest stop in one of the local villages. There are bars and restaurants in the villages on either side of the ranch including Finestrat and Orxeta (neither more than four kilometres’ drive away). Horse-riding routes, mountain biking trails and roads or trails for motorbikes or four-wheel drives are some of the other main attractions here. There’s a Nordic walking trail immediately accessible from the site – and for keen anglers, it’s just 10 minutes’ drive from the site to a carp-fishing freshwater reservoir where one-day fishing permits are available. If you fancy a dip in the Med instead, take the 20 minutes’ drive to Benidorm or the 15 minutes’ drive to La Cala, another beach resort with plenty of life. Back at base, this working country ranch just off the CV758 has its own weekend bar with an outdoor terrace (open from March to the end of summer, but with facilities inside available year-round) and a picnic area, burger bar and live music between January and November. Other facilities include a large car park, on-site toilets and a courtesy minibus available for airport transfers or ranch excursions.

Liked: Niets. Dit is geen camping. Dit is een rommelig stuk droog land zonder bomen en zonder voorzieningen.

Disliked: Het feit dat dit als een camping wordt aangeduid en dat je dan je visakaart verplicht moet gebruiken voor een aanbetaling. Erg slecht.

Disliked: Una VERGÜENZA!!!!! No tendría que tener la clasificación de camping.
Ésto está totalmente ABANDONADO.
Un monton de trastos amontonados...y los baños....lo mismo, todo improvisado, tres maderas juntadas a las que llaman baños. No hay ni agua...
FATAL! La peor experiencia de mí vida.

Liked: Heel eerlijk er was niks om blij mee te zij

Disliked: Bij aankomst zagen we andere inrichting kwa meubels(internet leek het allemaal veel mooier dan in het echt). We hebben er 2 weken gezeten na de 2e dag was er geen water meer en werden we aangesloten op rioolwater/grondwater. Het was niet veilig allemaal rotzooi en bende terwijl mijn nichtje van 10 daar rond liep. Het leek alsof er in jaren niet was schoongemaakt hier alles van is gefilmd/foto's van gemaakt. Het is een schande alles was kapot en vies en we konden niet douchen 2 weken lang door dat we waren aangesloten op grondwater/rioolwater te goor voor woorden wij zijn dood en doodziek geworden tijdens ons verblijf mijn tante is zelfs met spoed naar het ziekenhuis geweest omdat ze zelfs geen lucht meer kreeg door de viezigheid van het huisje. Ik zal als ik jullie was deze van de site halen en dat niemand daar nog heen kan gaan want dit is echt niet goed en ongezond. Sleutel mocht niet mee moesten de 2 weken de sleutel achter laten bij het huis op de lamp. Achteraf bleek die vent steeds in het huisje te zijn geweest. En dat als we er niet waren lagen er ''s avonds ineens allemaal joints wc papier. Toilet was na 2e dag ook kapot en moesten met een stokje de wc doortrekken ook lag de wc pot er half af. Geen voorbereiding bij aankomst toen we aankomen stoot meneer het huis is om nog van alles en nog wat te doen. Hij nodige ons uit om even wat te komen drinken en vervolgens mochten we dit zelf gaan betalen terwijl hij ons had uitgenodigd. Huisje zat vol schimmel.bankstel had geen normale bekleding ja er lag een gordijn erboven op, en overal lag insecten poep.Nee dit is een waarschuwing voor iedereen, ga liever ergens anders heen om dit te voorkomen

Liked: What did we liked? Where do i start... from the host that made us feel so welcome, to the location, and the bar were we enjoyeda night we will never forget.
If you have the opportunity of staying at the Pondarosa Ranch, Do it! You will have the best time. Bring all your family and friends. Plenty of space for everyone. And also plan to stay more than one night. There is a lot of magic to be discovered in that place.
Unfortunately we couldn't stay longer than a day.
We will definitely be back, at least to try the burgers since we missed out this time :-)

This is our first year and we are a work in progress and any thing that is lacking we will strive to fit in . .it is basic and green is solar powered . But the fun is Music In The Mountains till daybreak with Arizona views 10 mins from Normality and Lidll lol

Liked: My children myself and two friends stayed here after a day at waterpark in Benidorm and the hosts Emma and Eamon were the best hosts, they made sure to accommodate all our needs, even before we arrived by offering to get us shopping in. Having 3 children one with special needs travelling with me isn’t always easy especially when staying out camping locations. But they were so kind and welcoming towards us all.
We had such a good night the first night we stayed for an extra night.
The cabin was cute and accommodating much bigger than I expected it to be, the views are spectacular. Lots of nice walks around. Lovely bar which also does karaoke sometimes. We really had such a lovely time and already planning our next visit.
Thank you so much for all your hospitality great weekend.

Liked: Me encantó la tranquilidad del lugar, perfecta para desconectar.
Las instalaciones estaban muy bien, tenían baño exterior y lo mantenían limpio todo el tiempo.
Además hay que destacar la amabilidad y el trato de los dueños, que nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Seguro que repetiremos en otra ocasión y queremos ir con amigos para probar la cabaña rural que tienen.

If it’s the blue Mediterranean or skyscrapers, tapas bars, wineries, promenade strolls and bike tours that take your fancy, head into Benidorm – take your pick from Ponent Beach (20 minutes’ drive), Platja de Llevant (25 minutes) and the lively nightlife. Quiet golden-sand beaches are no rare sight around here either, with options including the small cove of Platja de La Cala de Finestrat (15 minutes) and the quieter Playa del Bol Nou (20 minutes). Get into hiking mode instead… with mountain and forest landscapes around Font del Molí (15 minutes) or the gorgeous hills of the Vía Ferrata Peña del Figueret (20 minutes) and its daring rock-climbing routes, there are plenty of spectacular vistas to be tracked down. Or head to the observation deck at Mirador del Río Amadorio (10 minutes) to see the gorgeous blue lake laid out below. If you want a different sort of day out, take yourself off to Valor Chocolate Museum (15 minutes) for a free tour and tastings of the sweet final product.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Please pick any available pitch on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Changes cannot be made once you have booked.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
