Spanish seaside hol: sorted. Girona's Càmping Cadaqués is in Cadaqués, the Med seaside town so splendidly scenic it was a fave of Dali and Picasso and has been flocked to by artists for centuries. (When you get there, you'll see why.) Càmping Cadaqués has modern facilities including a sports area with a tennis court and two ping pong tables, and a pool overlooking the sea (for adults and children alike), as well as an area with sunloungers. There are also two amenities blocks and a laundry and washing-up area with washing machines, dryers and irons. The on-site restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine and international cuisine to have on the terrace under the sun or stars; there's live music in high season too, for musical Spanish seaside suppers under a warm starry sky.

Liked: Everything was spotless - it was quiet as we were first in at the beginning of the season. Staff friendly and helpful facilities more than adequate. We had the pitch with a seaview - fabulous views but quite windy.

Disliked: On our last night (Saturday )- very loud music/ bass sound until 0330am from community centre behind site

Liked: Stunning location if you can get a sea view! Worth paying extra for this. Exceptionally clean facilities. Generous showers. A short (steep) walk to sea front in Cadaques or to the Dali house. We really enjoyed our stay.

Situato in posizione ottima per visitare Cadaques a piedi è inoltre molto comodo per esplorare Cap de Creuz in ebike

Local attractions

Càmping Cadaqués is a short drive from Cap de Creus, the peninsula on Catalonia's northeastern tip that doubles as a national park. It's spectacularly scenic here (Dali painted the peninsula in his melting-watch work The Persistence of Memory) and a haven for peaceful wanders, boat trips and birdwatching. Also within easy reach is Port Lligat, the small Cap de Creus village where Dali lived for over 50 years and now with the Portlligat Museum-House in his former home celebrating his life and work. Perspective can be a bit skewed here, so perhaps don't have a Spanish wine or three at lunch before going in... Walking tours, bike hire, kayak, sailing courses, diving, hiking and fishing are all available nearby: ask the Càmping Cadaqués team for recommendations.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Quiet hours must be respected between 12 a.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The grocery shop is open between 01/07 and 31/08.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Pitches

Units should not be left unoccupied unless previously agreed with the management. Please speak to reception when the need arises, a fee may be charged for unsupervised units.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Pool

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.
Swimsuits are obligatory and swimming shorts or Bermuda shorts are not permitted.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 24/06 and 30/09 (subject to weather conditions).

Reception

Reception is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. between 30/06 and 31/08.
Reception is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. between 01/09 and 31/10.

Safety

Open fires are prohibited.

Vehicles

No vehicle movement between 12 a.m. and 8 a.m..

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
