Best way to enoy the environment and the surrounds

How fab is this spot? Set among a vast pine forest a few minutes’ walk from the edge of the Sierra de Gredos mountain range, this peaceful place is a scenic hikers’ paradise within easy reach of waymarked trails. The site is also 100 metres from the Tormes river, for cooling dips in its waters for when you come back puffed out after a long hike. It all sits pretty within the Navarredonda forest, within easy ambling distance of a mountain spring and with smashing views of the glacial peaks of the Circo de Gredos. The playground will keep kids amply occupied, and there’s a TV room for rainy days and cosy nights; other than this, there’s no entertainment at the park to distract you from all that spectacular scenery. Gaze upon it further on one of the site’s several scenic restaurant terraces – or source some barbecue supplies from the on-site shop – and throw many an admiring gaze out at your beaut surrounds as you dine on fine Castilian food. Handily for caravan peeps, the site has a service point where you can top up on water and electricity ready for when you hit the road again (or remain on site should you be tempted to change course and stay longer).

Liked: La tranquilidad, las parcelas no están bien definidas y eso da sensación de mayor naturalidad. El menú y en general el restaurante está muy bien

Disliked: No hay cobertura móvil y la WiFi está sólo en la zona de restaurante

Liked: El espacio es precioso, bien preparado, amplio y cuidado. Baños grandes y limpios con agua caliente. Restaurante económico con desayunos, comida y cena.
Bonitas vistas a una parcela con caballos y cerca de Las Chorreras y Las Pozas, ideal para ir a pasar el día, si hace bueno tomar el sol y bañarte o ir de ruta por el río y la montaña.
El personal es muy amable y los clientes que frecuentan el camping están dispuestos a ayudar.

Disliked: Que no hubiese habón de manos en el baño. Es la única pega que pondría.

Local attractions

This park’s proximity to active pursuits makes it a haven for outdoorsy types: for starters, several waymarked walking routes run direct from the site, and if you’re fond of a woodland forage, you can go on a three-kilometre mushroom picking expedition in autumn around here too. Bird fanciers, bring your binoculars, because you’re also well catered to in the way of walks from the site. If you’d rather ramp things up a gear, more in the way of adventure sports are organised by a company a few kilometres away in Navarredonda de Gredos; archery and paintball are on hand for those pining to practise their aim, and from atop a saddle with a mountain biking or horse riding tour is a swell way to see the local mountain scenes. Partial to a clamber? Then the nearby treetop adventure centre is for you: brave souls can tackle high ropes courses, traverse rope bridges and swoop around on swings at a park that lies a couple of kilometres from base.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 3 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs are required to wear a muzzle.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
